styles in apparel for the cooler weather ahead and delight yourself with unique fashion accessories. There’s something for everyone. See YOU there! 1 ACT PLAY COMPETITION; THE PLAY’S THE THING, FRIDAY & SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th & 10th , 8PM, AUDITORIUM: Collington welcomes a National One Act Play Competition. This event in the past has been held at the Howard County Center for the Arts and the Greenbelt Arts Center. The sponsor, Thunderous Productions, routinely promotes Collington in its playbills and advertising. This is traditional theater at its core and for this competition actors must rely on their ability to not only sustain a character in a short time but do so without amplifications; in other words, mics can’t be used. Events of this type showcase Collington’s support of the performing arts, as do the many recital and choral offerings throughout the year. This event is open to the wider community; Collington residents will be able to purchase tickets at a discount. Some events are free at Collington; some off campus are as well. Many require ticket purchases; others are free. There is a transit charge for buses. Other residents may choose to car pool. These two evenings are in our own auditorium and provide a look at the range of our interests to those who do not live here. The four plays are: STREET SCENES by Francine Jamin; EVER AFTER, by Matt Hanf; MULTIPLE CHOICE, a pithy courtroom drama, by Ron Tochterman; and THE JOB by Letha Dawson, a southern- tinged drama. The last named is directed by Trix Whitehall, familiar to some residents as one of the gossipy harpies in THE EATON WOMAN.

PROTESTANT WORSHIP SERVICE, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1:30PM – CHAPEL: Please welcome to Collington again our friends and neighbors from Woodstream Church. Minister Malcolm Reeves will lead the service. Please remember the time is now 1:30PM. All are invited and welcome. Questions? Please call Ardyce Asire at x7348

So, if you have an extra bedroom, couch, air mattress, etc., and you would be willing to have an employee spend the night (should the need arise), please let me know!
