FROM THE LIBRARY: The Library's collection of Collington records is now housed in one location, the Archives Room. This includes back issues of the Collingtonian, minutes of the Collington Board, the Collington Foundation Board, MACCRA, Residents Association, all committees, memoirs, and Collington history. If you have anything about Collington to add to the collection, please contact either Barbara Fairchild (4101) or Pat Johns (128).The November Library Committee meeting will be held October 31, 10AM in the Board Room. OO SHOP GLASS CASES: We are now in need for additional items... Please check to see if you have Jewelry- all types of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. The OO Glass Cases are located on the 2nd floor in the alcove by the Billiard /Pool room and the Library and on the 3rd floor in the Creighton Center on both sides of the hallway by the Beauty Parlor and the Residents Association Office. Please leave your donations in a bag/box at the Clock Tower desk with the "OO Glass Cases" name on it. EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION FUND KICK-OFF: To all Collington residents, now is the time to say thank you to our wonderful staff for taking care of us all year! It is easy - just make out your check to Collington Residents Association noting in the memo that it is for the Employee Appreciation Fund. You may put the check in the box on the security desk, or put it in the Residents Association mail slot located in the far left section of the mail boxes, or put it in the treasurer, Tom McCain's, mail slot, 2112. This fund is distributed in mid-December to employees; for us it takes the place of what would be constant tipping during the year if we lived in our old communities and ate out occasionally, took cabs, dealt with trash and lawn and housekeeping services, etc. For our employees, the fund provides a welcome thank you at holiday time. Please be generous!

The holiday bazaar is only a month away and I have not heard from many people as to whether or not they want to participate, need a table (or more than one), will be contributing items to sell (e.g., baked goods and other food) and if anyone would like to volunteer to wo/man the tables. The Auditorium is re served for Thursday 11/10/16 from 10:00 AM until 2:00PM for the 2016 Holiday Bazaar. Tables will be set up by 9:00AM, so those dropping off food, etc. can do so between 9AM and 10AM. Please let me know ASAP, if you have not done so already, if you are contributing items and if you will need a table, or two, so I can tell Dwindle, Mary, and Charlene. Thank you. Small Stories: Dream House: The Dream House installation is the finale of the exhibition, featuring a variety of imaginative and finely crafted rooms by American artists, designers, and architects. These 24 unique rooms were commissioned by the Museum to showcase a diverse array of perspectives, demonstrating the limitless creativity of building in miniature. Visitors will see designs that are instantly familiar, completely fanciful, and even slightly eerie. Some were made using traditional furnishings, others from materials such as clay, insects, 3D-printing, and even Peeps marshmallow candies! There is also a café/bakery located inside of the museum if you would like to grab something to eat. Your admission to the Dollhouse exhibit also grants you entry into the museum’s other exhibits as well.
