THE MYSTERY OF THE FUTURE

If I was asked 10 years ago what type of communication technology our society would be using today, I would have been very far off. Now as I am asked the same question about the next 10 years, I have to think long and hard to attempt to make an educated guess.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” – Albert Einstein

• Since Feb 4, 2004- the day Facebook hit the ground running, the use of social media has been on the rise, and adopted the Critical mass theory .

• While there are many positive qualities and benefits with using these sites, the more the technology has become accessible, the more problems that have arisen.

• What is going to happen to social media, will it be a thing of the past one day?

SOCIAL MEDIA• In 10 years I predict that all

of our social media will be combined and condensed in to one site that includes all functions of the various different sites.

• Along with having the luxury of using this application on your cell phone, I predict that our phones themselves will be linked in to our account and will eliminate that need for text messaging and for phone calls. Instead, it will all be done through this site on your phone.

THE MOBILE REVOLUTION • Mobile phones have

come a long way since the first cell phone call was made on April 3, 1973. There is no comparison From the 20 pound monster that didn't’t fit into your pocket, to what we have today.

• Mobile phones have become part of our everyday life and therefore can fall under the Media System Dependence Theory due to the dependence our society has to our phones.

PHONES OF THE FUTURE

With the way and speed that our technology has increased I think that in 10 years our cell phones wont even look like a phone. I predict that they will be have small and wont even have a screen on them, and to use them they will shoot out a holograph

screen and key board.

As our older generation didn't’t grow up using cell phones and most are scared of technology, I think once they are all gone that the whole structure of cell phone will began to change.

EDUCATION

Education is one of the main fundamental building blocks to life, that helps to spark innovation

The way we learn is very different from what it used to be due to so many advancements in technology

Those advancements will be the beginning to a new age of learning fueled by the want to learn and create more

TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOMThe social learning

theory states that people learn within a social concept such as modeling and observation and I believe that educators will use technology to help teach in this manor.

Many schools have adopted the iPad into the classroom to help keep kids interested and give them all the resources needed to sufficiently learn.

NEXT GENERATION OF STUDENTSIn the next 10 years I believe

that there will no longer be text books in the classroom, and most of the teaching will be done from a computer. Everything will go paperless and most of the distractions in the classroom will be eliminated.

I imagine that every student will have there own device that is specially made to suit there learning style.

They face of education will change drastically with the integration and eventual take over of technology in the class room.
