Weather & Emergency Plan
In the event that adverse weather conditions necessitatea change or deviation in the morning schedule, announce-ments will be made on radio station WBAL (1090 AM). Ifthe morning service does not operate, then the afternoonservice will not operate.
Should the MTA be motivated by inclement weather ormiscellaneous events to conduct earlier than regular ser-vice, the Commuter Bus division will determine if coachesare available to depart according to a modified schedule.
Commuters should understand that the MTA requires suffi-cient advance notice in order to mobilize coaches for earli-er runs or necessary detours with individual service pro-viders.
The MTA will generate e-notices and post announcementson the Commuter Bus Service Update Center online, oncechanges in service occur.
Standee PolicyFor the safety of our riders, the MTA prohibits standeeson commuter buses except under the following circum-stances: If the last evening bus has a full seated load; To accommodate passengers from another bus that has
become disabled en-route; or In emergency situations, such as severe inclement
weather or civil defense events.Please note that a patrons need to reach his or her desti-nation by a certain time is not considered an emergencyfor these purposes. Drivers are required to enforce thispolicy and to deny boarding to additional passengers oncethe bus has achieved a full seated load.
Days of Operation
The No. 412 line operates Monday through Friday. It doesnot operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and the followingfederally-observed holidays:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, LaborDay, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Only trips marked H at the top of the column on theschedule will operate on the following observed holidays:
Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Columbus Day,Veterans Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Additional Service
The MARC Penn Line operates between Perryville,
Aberdeen, Edgewood, Martin Airport, and BaltimorePenn Station, with continuing service to the BWIAirport Rail Station, New Carrollton, and Washington,D.C.
Nos. 35 and 120 bus lines operate between WhiteMarsh, Downtown Baltimore, and Johns HopkinsHospital. The Nos. 120 and 420 operates duringpeak hours; the No. 35 operates during peak, mid-day, and evening hours as well as on Saturdays andSundays.
Nos. 410 and 411 bus lines operate between Bel Airand Downtown Baltimore during peak hours.
No. 420 bus line operates between Havre de Grace,
Aberdeen, Edgewood, and Downtown Baltimore dur-ing peak hours.
