Role Purpose

To provide comprehensive administration support to the Regional SHRBP.

Key Responsibilities

1. To prepare accurate Statements of main terms of employment and where necessary contract amendment letters.

2. To ensure that all Statements of main terms of employment are signed and returned by new employees.

3. To ensure references are received for all employees, together with documents demonstrating the right to work in the UK.

4. To ensure the Payroll Team are informed of starters, leavers and changes to employee terms and conditions on a weekly basis (inc. change of address notifications).

5. To update, maintain and create confidential personnel records for all employees.

6. Prepare a variety of other documents, as instructed by SHRBP, including disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearing invitation letters, hearing outcome letters, etc.

7. To receive telephone calls on behalf of the SHRBP and relay accurate and clear messages.

8. To provide, where necessary, administration support to other members of the HR Team.

9. To place external job adverts, whilst also ensuring that all jobs are advertised on the intranet site.

10. Provide cover in the absence of other HR Administrators.

11. Undertake any other reasonable task as instructed by SHRBP.

Qualifications and Experience (Essential)

Hands-on experience in assisting in an administrative capacity, ideally within an HR Department

Experienced administrator including manual and computerised record keeping

Knowledge and Skills

Good Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge;

Accurate and efficient keyboard skills;

Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems

Personal Qualities

Ability to work as part of a team, with a positive, flexible, can do attitude.

Ability to re-evaluate priorities.

Ability to prioritise workloads.
