Completed Lifebuoy SystemInnovation for Boating Safety

Page 2: Completed Lifebuoy System

Principle: The CLS is designed for both "on-board" and "shore" use.

It was developed as an "on-board" device for recreational vessels in sheltered and coastal waters, but it also works well in open waters and on commercial vessels.

As a "shore" device, the use of CLS is highly recommended in swimming pools, beaches and marinas.

Page 3: Completed Lifebuoy System

Theory 1: Recreational boating in sheltered waters

According to this theory, generally there is only one qualified person on board of a recreational boat in sheltered or coastal waters. He/she is known as the skipper. The others are guests (family members, friends, colleagues) who are not familiar with boating and are not qualified crew members. In case of an emergency (e.g. Man Overboard), a coordinated effort of at least 2-3 people is needed. This means that the captain has to involve untrained outsiders in the rescue process, which can lead to delays or stalling of the rescue. For this reason, rescue equipment needs to be improved so that untrained people can provide useful assistance even in stressful situations.

Rescue From the Shore

Rescue from the shore (in ports, beaches, swimming pools) can be carried out by untrained people also. They should use equipment that is easy to use from the shore, even without training or routine.

Theory 2:

Conventional equipment

Ring Buoy

Horseshoe Buoy

Buoyant Cushion

Throwline

Parts:Parts:

• Practice required• Preparation required• Slow operational process• Slow repeated throws

Drawbacks: • Difficult to grab; no comfortable grip• Short throwing distance• Low throwing accuracy• Difficult for the victim to take a safe

position

Main parts: Plastic handle with rope holder and V-cleats for easy rope handling and the secure grip of the rope.

Floating lifeline with two carabiners for easy and secure attachment.

Load transfer harness with strap handle and holder pockets. It gives obvious attaching point for the rope, prevents the floating device’s damage and makes the lifebuoy easy to throw.

A throwable rescue device (type IV PFD) that you already have and can come from any manufacturer on the market.

What is CLS?

together in one system

Definition: The Completed Lifebuoy System is an equipment system in which the components work in synergy to eliminate the disadvantages of traditional rescue equipment. This system is quick and easy to use, making it suitable for use by unskilled people.

Setup:

• Can be used as independent rescue device• The rope can be coiled easily in figure 8 shape• Tangle-proof store of the rescue line• The handle can be easily thrown to the victim

even against strong wind

Advantages:

Plastic handle + Rescue Line = Rescue Line Set

Plastic handle

Rescue line

• Rescue line always runs free• The floating handle is easily visible in the water• The floating handle is easy to grip • The rescue line can be easily attached with a

carabiner

• We do not manufacture it. It is not included in the package you can buy.• Customers may already have one, or can easily get one on the market that meets

the requirements.• Can come from any manufacturer• There are restrictions on the size and shape, due to the fixing of the harness.

Set-up:

Advantages: • The Load Transfer Strap can be easily attached to the floating device with Velcro• The towing eye provides an obvious attaching point for the rescue line• With strap handle, it is much easier to grab and throw the PFD• It gives increased throwing distance and aiming accuracy• Distribution of the towing load protects the floating device• It makes the horseshoe buoy safer

Throwable Device + Load Transfer Harness = Floating Unit

Page 12: Completed Lifebuoy System

Rescue Line Set + Floating Unit = CLS

Advantages:

Set-up:

• The PFD and rescue line are always stored together• No preparation is necessary, the CLS is always ready for use• Quick repeated throws in case of a failed throws• Lower stress level for the rescuer

Lifesaving is always a hot topic in the media, therefore the advertising and selling of the product easier.

CLS is a brand-new innovation that has no competitors on the market. There are no amateur water rescue products that could provide such a complex solution to water rescue situations.

With patent protection, we can assure you that there will be no cheap or low quality copies on the market that could harm your business

CLS is a useful and valuable product, its target customers are ready to pay the price. A high margin provides higher revenue for your company.

This product is a supplementary piece of equipment for already existing rescue devices. It won’t cannibalize the selling of your PFD stock items – it will increase them.

Visual design elements are customizable such as color or logo, so that you can sell CLS as your own branded merchandise also.

Inshore Safety Ltd.

Company: The Inshore Safety Ltd. was created in 2019 with the aim of creating a new water safety product group which was especially designed for the crews of pleasure crafts that operate on coastal or sheltered waters. The base of the product group is a set of patented inventions that come from Laszlo Mucsi, who is the founder of Inshore Safety. The first element of the group is the CLS.The company is looking for partners who are willing to distribute Inshore Safety's products even as their own branded merchandise.
