Strong Smart Proud
At Condobolin Public School we are STRONG, SMART & PROUD
The annual swimming school began today for all students in Year 2 and those in primary grades who cannot confidently swim 25m. This water safety program is aimed at students learning to swim. All of our instructors are Austswim qualified. The children will need to bring their swimmers and towel each day. Parents are asked to have provided the cost of pool entry or season ticket number. The school is funding the bus to and from the pool for the ten days of lessons.
Kindergarten Orientation
Our 2017 Kindergarten students have been excitedly participating in transition lessons on a range of days during Terms 3 and 4. We are inviting all 2017 Kindergarten children to participate in our orientation day on Friday, 18 November from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm. We look forward to seeing all attending.
School Leaders 2017
The process for nominating our school leaders for 2017 has begun. Students in Year 5 interested in nominating for the position of School Captain or Vice Captain, and students in Years 4 and 5 interested in nominating for the position of Sports Captain or Vice Captain are asked to submit a nomination to Mrs L’Estrange by this Friday, 18 November. Interested students will have been provided with an Expression of Interest form, which needs to be signed by the child’s parent and teacher as well as the student.
Sports Captain elections will be held next Tuesday with students in Years 2 to 6 voting.
Parents and carers are invited to join us in the hall at 12.30 pm on Friday, 25 November to listen to speeches given by Year 5 students nominated for election as a School Captain or Vice Captain. An assembly will be held prior to the elections.
School captains and sports captains will be announced at Presentation Day on Tuesday, 13 December.
AECG Meeting
The next AECG meeting will be held in the school community room this Thursday, 17 November from 3.45 pm. Interested parents and community are welcome to attend.
Special Meeting – Sesquicentenary
As our school will be celebrating 150 years of educating students of Condobolin next year, a special meeting of the P&C will be held to discuss options for marking this special milestone.
Interested parents and community members are invited to attend this sesquicentenary meeting on Monday, 21 November at 7.00 pm in the school library.
