Monday 28th November, 201611:00 12:30 The Digital Disruption Era: Disrupt or Get

Disrupted

Location Hall 3

We are witnessing the 4th Industrial Revolution in a series of waves: the digital consumer, who enjoys more interactive and personalized experi-ences thanks to social, mobile, analytics and cloud technologies (SMAC); the digital enterprise, which optimize the cost of corporate functions and real-ize greater productivity; and the emerging digital operations wave, where companies are truly rev-olutionizing business with the use of artificial in-telligence, robotics, cognitive computing and the Industrial Internet of Things. The rapid pace and scale of disruption is unique to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Digital compa-nies can reach new customers immediately and at virtually zero marginal cost. They can compete in new sectors by collaborating with peers and competitors. They can massively improve quality and productivity by converging technologies and sources of data.

Tuesday 29th November, 201611:00 12:30 Cybersecurity: Threats, trends and implications

Location Hall 3

Geopolitics is now the core determinant of the shape and severity of cyber threats public and pri-vate sector organizations face. Cyber deterrence is becoming a core pillar of 21st century diplomacy. Alarmingly for business, the majority of apparent cases of cyber deterrence involved targeting com-mercial entities. This reflects the imperative role that corporate enterprises play in ensuring that, at a fundamental level, populations are provided with basic commodities like electricity, food, wa-ter, fuel and the ability to communicate. And with communications, cyber security is imperative, not-ing that the internet today is the backbone of any modern society. As we talk more about connected communities and IoT, cybersecurity has become the talk of the town: an essential need today as we enter an era with strong focus on the Industrial Internet and the strategy behind cybersecurity. Wednesday 30th November, 201611:00 12:30 Unleashing the Cloud Computing Roadmap:

Trends, Drivers & Challenges

Location Hall 3

In 2016, the overarching theme is that hybrid cloud adoption is ramping as both cloud users and cloud providers mature. Private cloud adoption increased from 63 percent to 77 percent, driving hybrid cloud adoption up from 58 percent to 71 percent year-over-year. Cloud users are running applications in an average of 1.5 public clouds and 1.7 private clouds. Lack of resources/expertise is now the #1 cloud challenge, opening new vistas for trained staff, while security concerns have be-come the #2 challenge. And loud cost management provides a significant opportunity for savings, since few companies are taking critical actions to optimize cloud costs, such as shutting down unused workloads or selecting lower-cost cloud or regions. Is it still tempting to stay on the cloud, or some-thing will change in 2017?

12:00 13:15 Panel Discussion: Innovative Financial Inclusion

Location Hall 1

Innovation in financial services can help in bridg-ing the financial inclusion divide in our part of the world, in terms of access, quality, and returns. Technology in the disruptive digital era is a corner-stone for inclusion, being innovative and creative of new business patterns around the world. Digital financial services also allow women’s convenient access to financial services, especially in rural ar-eas, thus allowing them the opportunity to face emergencies in life. While technology providers are offering golden op-portunities to start the financial inclusion process, and banking service providers are gearing them-selves to disseminate the word, policymakers and regulators are reluctant to embrace them. Regula-tory authorities need to be equipped with in-depth knowledge of innovative business models to devel-op an enabling ecosystem for innovative financial inclusion to thrive in a safe and stable manner.
