(c) Patrol Activity: (l)An ene~ patrol of nine ambushed a group of six engineers

vic 724057 at 1530 w killed l engineer and wounded another. Fox Co. patrol of 12 men from r-loulinet engaged ene~ Patrol at 1615 in same vic. and killed one and captured the other eight - one of these wounded. One of the cap­tured enemey was dressed in civilian clothes - claimed he was a Frenchman who had been forced to accompany the patrol at gun point. Interrogation of PWs not yet accmm­plished.
