Previous Communications SamplesThese are examples from the four years prior to implementing a strategy of consistency across all student communications. During this period, there are unifying themes and graphic treatments within individual sub-groups, such as housing, or thematically with Tech on Your Terms or Great Minds Think Differently. The recruiting materials featuring repeating themes do not relate either graphically or thematically to undergraduate housing. These programs become individual islands adrift from each other. Either the Georgia Institute of Technology logo or the Georgia Tech logo appears on most of these, sometimes easily recognizable, other times the logo is practically hidden.

Next PageTo address this variety of viewpoints, a standardized template was created to help keep the name of the Institute at the top and highly visible. Formats were created to help with consistent presentation across programs.

Visually Disruptive Implementations

More work to be done

Web pages at Georgia Tech tend to have a longer life than print. This should change as web tools and resources improve. It is currently much more difficult to change the design of a web site than it is to change the design of a series of brochures. Web sites are individually managed and programmed, so few pages match from department to department.
