consulting • services • solutions
risual’s Consulting division comprises both technical and
business expertise designed to deliver transformation
and the implementation of IT solutions delivered by
subject matter experts.
Our two Technology Businesses are organised into six
specialised practices. Each practice contains specialists
qualified in a subset of technologies, ensuring a high level
of expertise and quality outcomes in all projects. This gives
us breadth across all Microsoft technology areas to provide
a comprehensive solution and the ability to deliver complex
projects across multiple disciplines.
The Business Group supports customers through the lifecycle
of an IT solution, from initial decision making, through delivery
and into operations. The group is made up of three practices;
Architecture, Engagement Management and Business Analysis.
These teams are able to deliver business focused strategies that
help customers maximise their investments and meet
their business goals.

risual education partners with one college in each
Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) or region
across the UK to bridge the gap between industry
and education. Acting as a regional hub these
partnerships provide an industry standard training
facility that supports education as a drive to
economic development through adopting
21st Century technology. This enables risual
education to support local businesses not only to
recruit skilled IT apprentices, but also to up-skill
the existing workforce with a suite of
Microsoft qualifications.
risual Microsoft Academies give learners access
to the latest Microsoft technology and software.
Most importantly risual then empower teachers
and learners to use the technology effectively to
enhance the quality of their performance. risual
education support partner colleges with their
curriculum development, providing Microsoft
Certified Educator Training to each curriculum
team. Relevant Microsoft qualifications are
then offered to learners across the college, this
curriculum and pedagogical support is crucial in
ensuring that all learners are leaving college with
the best digital literacy training.
Moved by the recent news stories about Child
Exploitation in the UK, risual were driven to invest
in creating a solution which allows child protection
services to have more insight and react effectively
to incidents. The nimos Safeguarding Children
solution enables a wide variety of nominated
users across job roles and organisations to raise
concerns for a child or young person’s safety
or wellbeing.
Each application in the nimos suite is designed
to accomplish a specific goal in society, from
Raising Concerns to Social Worker Safety. Each
solution is designed to improve information and
analysis workflows in the public sector, using their
experience in front line health and social care.
nimos was developed using risual’s in house
expertise, taking advantage of the applied
technology available in our minerva365 suite and
Microsoft cloud solution accelerators. nimos is a
bespoke range of solutions which offer direct and
measurable benefits to some of the most valued
public services in today’s society.
risual akin is a revolutionary new customer
experience platform. By leveraging cloud
technology, akin utilises a public facing customer
mobile application to dramatically change the
way brands interact with their customers. It can
give a deep understanding of individual customer
preferences and an insight into store performance.
From in-app messaging, customised marketing
and content to operational insights, risual akin
delvers big data analytics on a personal level to
marketers, salespeople and managers. Being
registered on the app ensures each individual
customer can be recognised, and insights into
their preferences and profile ensures each
customer receives a better experience both
online and in store.
minerva365 is a suite of applications created to
work with Office 365 which can be deployed and
quickly customised to work in most organisations
and give immediate, long term improvements to
ways of working. The applications work with and
enhance the Office 365 experience which means
they are a small one time investment, along with a
rolling support contract.
The applications enable organisations to get
additional functionality from their existing
Office 365 environment, be it case management
functionality for SharePoint, or enabling field
worker safety through a mobile app. The
minerva365 application range can deliver quick and
easy improvements to everyday working life.
In order to ensure that IT departments provide fast-paced,
flexible and business-led capabilities, we have developed
a repeatable strategy that can be tailored to match an
organisation’s needs.
risual’s aim is to help customers develop a service-oriented
approach to delivering technology based on business
requirements using an appropriate mix of on-premise, public
or hybrid cloud options. This approach helps organisations move
from reactive provisioning and support, to proactive service
delivery and management of consumption, measured against
mutually agreed Service Level Agreements.
Moving organisations from a server and workload centric
model to a service centric model, risual’s Optimised Service
Vision helps drive out cost, increase business value and deliver
innovation, whilst being aligned to organisational strategy.

sizes faced with the challenges of delivering a flexible IT
service to modern users. risual has used the knowledge
gained from years of varying scale device deployment projects
to develop a transformational approach focused on delivering
a user centric work style.
Understanding how the applicable technology options could be
delivered to the different groups of users within an organisation
is key. We build in the ability to cope with technology and
business change whilst ensuring stability and business
continuity. This allows us to quickly identify benefits for the
organisation and the individual whilst maintaining or enhancing
security in an increasingly agile world.
A flexible work style is agile and user centric. We use these
characteristics and balance them with an organisation’s
security, property and financial constraints ensuring that the
solution implemented will evolve with an organisation.

Benefits

Modern organisations generate, store, and manage huge
amounts of data every day. While accessing the right data can
sometimes be difficult, providing the right people with the
right type of access, both in terms of security and device, can
speed up decision processes, business processes and improve
customer service.
Freeing up the barriers to how people can work and access
data makes them more productive, which in turn can increase
revenue and drive efficiencies. Once businesses are able to
provide agile ways to exploit data to the right people at the right
time, new ways of working can be opened up and new services
can be developed.
Our Connected Business solution shows that these issues can
be resolved when an overarching strategy is employed to
connect systems and make them work together effectively.
This has a positive impact on decision making and the outcomes
of the organisation as a whole.
