The first of our monthly magazine/newsletter highlighting the events, themes, testimonies and general happenings at NTCG The Rock. In this issue we take a closer look at the movie 'God's Not Dead' which we will be showing over the Easter weekend, as part of our Resurrection Convention. Read some encouraging words in our Wisdom Corner. Today, Christianity is under attack more than ever. Christians
with a biblical worldview seem to be the ‘underdogs’ in the university, culture, and media. As the stats show that this is one area where young Christians struggle and even lose their faith. So when a film affirms a Christian worldview in any sense, it’s hard not to be excited.
God’s Not Dead is a new Christian film about faith and the extent one young man will go to in order to defend his belief in God.
Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day,
or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class.
GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire
moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.

you... So the Lord opened his eyes. (2 Kings 6:16-17)
There may be a time when work colleagues, friends or even family members may try & attack you with false allegations trying to break you down. Brethren, the more you focus on the one or ones that are accusing you, you start listening to them and begin to see it as if the whole world is against you when really it is just that one or two
people the enemy is using against you.
When you weigh it up, there are more people that love you than those that are trying to hate you... I pray today that if anyone is going though this that their eyes will be opened and see how many people love them and, even more, that God loves them... For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

The Rock Food Bank helps vulnerable individuals and families in crisis through the provision of 3 days emergency food supplies while a longer-term solution is developed. The services we provide have an enormous impact on the people who use them, giving them an important breathing space at
a time of great need.
The Food Bank is always looking for help with donations of non-perishable food items, as the demand is so high.

The Kainos Team this year have a mandate to engage youth in
Christian action. In truth, the way ministry is practised needs to be engaging with leadership coming from dedicated youth. Our new youth team is the youngest we have ever had. The message is simple... Kainos means ‘fresh and new’. So young people come forward with your ideas, be as creative as you can, be the energy of the church. Be a part of the ministry!
