PMGI applies a competency based approach
to all its training. Learners will learn from
faculty who are practitioners and therefore
will pass on first-hand knowledge and
experiences during each training session.
We adopt a truly competency base approach to learning:
The role of faculty is learner-centric: Faculty members
work with students, guiding learning, answering
questions, leading discussions, and helping students
synthesize and apply knowledge.
The power of technology for teaching and learning:
Participants will be able to collaborate via our iLab
(innovation lab) and have access to instructors and other
students via our online learning forum.
Measure student learning rather than time: Our
preferred method is that students receive a certificate
only if they pass based on the course measurement.
They will be able to retake the assessments as many
times as possible until they attain the required
competence: However, companies may request a
variation of this requirement, for example: a Certificate
of Participation for those who have not attained
competency (this is not applicable to the MAPMc).
Reliable assessments: Our assessments have been
tested with industry input to ensure that we have in fact
identified relevant project management competencies.
