Wayne Crosbie Wayne Crosbie is Director International and Business Development for William Angliss Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
Wayne has more than 35 years experience working in and with the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, identifying and developing commercial opportunities internationally and steering the implementation of the Institute’s internationalisation strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identifying, developing, implementing and managing new offshore campuses, training and education projects and consulting contracts.
Oversee the establishment of relationships and training contracts with key clients within the food service, retail food, hotel, travel, resorts, gaming and other related industry sectors.
Responsible for the recruitment of overseas students into accredited Higher Education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs at all William Angliss campuses in its global network.

Developed a Competency Based Common ASEAN Tourism Curriculum (CATC) and a 5 – Level Regional Qualifications Framework and Skills Recognition System (RQFSRS) From Certificate II – Advanced Diploma for the 6 Labour Divisions - Housekeeping, Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office, Travel Agencies and Tour Operations

Used the agreed ASEAN Common Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals (ACCSTP) to develop the CATC & RQFSRS
Ensured Qualifications are relevant and useful to both students and industry
Qualifications will produce Competent Industry ready Graduates
Packaged the Competencies into curriculum for the 6 Labour Divisions and linked the Curriculum with a Qualifications Framework
The ACCSTP, CATC and RQFSRS were developed in conjunction with 1,000’s of Stakeholders across the AMS

Competency Based Training and Assessment
Significant numbers of Tourism professionals throughout ASEAN have no formal qualifications
They have learnt their skills on the job and have considerable Industry experience
Opportunity to enable Certification by undertaking Competency Based Assessment against the Competency Standards contained in the Qualifications Framework
Need Trained Assessors to be able to undertake the Assessments effectively
ASEAN Master Trainers and Master Assessors Program
Objectives
To develop a pool of ASEAN Master Trainers and Master Assessors for all Labour Divisions
Support the utilisation of toolboxes produced
Support the adoption by Tourism Training and Education institutions across AMS
Implementation by National Tourism Professional Certification Boards (TPCBs) and National Tourism Professional Boards (NTPBs) to ensure a systematic utilisation of Master Trainers and Master Assessors in their respective countries
The Master Trainers and Master Assessors will be responsible for conducting assessments for professional certification programs and ensuring the proper delivery of the training programs
