Courses venue

Courses are held online on a number of platforms.

Teachers

All our teachers are Italian native speakers, have qualifications obtained

in Italy and have teaching experience.

Signing up

Register using the form on the Italian Cultural Institute’s website or by e-mail

(corsi.iichelsinki@esteri.it). You will receive a message confirming your

registration and, once the course has been activated, payment details.

Course levels

Course levels correspond to A1-C2 levels of the Common European Framework of

Reference. You can find more detailed descriptions on the IIC website.

Course registration fees

Registration fees: full fees € 200, reduced fees € 185 for full-time students,

pensioners and the unemployed upon presentation of relevant documents.

Short courses fees are €110, no reductions. Fees must be paid by bank transfer

according to the instructions contained in our confirmation e-mail. Registration

fees shall not be refunded after the beginning of the course.

* * * The CILS Diploma (Certificate of Knowledge of Italian as Foreign Language),

issued by the University for Foreigners in Siena, certifies your knowledge of

Italian, is valid throughout the world, and does not expire.

The next exam date is 3 December 2020 for all levels (A1-C2) and 22 October

2020 for the B1 Cittadinanza –level. The Institute is a CILS centre, so if you wish

to challenge yourself and take the test, register with us!

Courses combine the study of language structures with the development

of oral and written expression and the knowledge of Italian culture.

Classes are held once a week and last 90 minutes. There are 14 classes in

a course. Short courses are held every other week. There are 7 classes in a

short course.

Kindly note there shall not be any classes from 12 to 16 October

2020.

Italian is the language of instruction but, if necessary, Finnish or English

are also used.

Textbooks can be bought from Akateeminen kirjakauppa in Helsinki and

they are available just before the courses start. Textbooks are:

There are no textbooks for the Conversation and culture and the Short courses. We

use materials prepared by the teacher.
