Salute 2016 is the biggest date in the UK wargames calender, and as ever Team Crooked were mobilised to bring you all our toys and games. Over 4000 people visited the ExCel centre in London's Docklands and it felt that most of them came as saw us on our trade stand and games tables! Thanks to everyone who braved the crowds and came to say hello or bought our goodies.

SALUTE RELEASESWe had lots of new release available including the Paranormal Exterminator Vehicle, Future Freedom Fighters 6, Federated Security Command, the Police Marksman & Sergeant, Animated Construct and the deadly Claws of SHIVA.

Finally we had the Cameraman (complete with profile card) the first in an infrequent line that will make up a 7TV Production Team. These are now all available in the webstore - so go get 'em!

A THUG'S LIFEMay's release is the Gang of Thugs, which heralds the arrival of a new criminal element for 7TV. There's always one who spoils it for the rest of us isn't there.

You can get the Thug Bruiser and four Thugs (sculpted by Mark Evans) for £3 each or £12 for all five.

STARTER CASTS vs STARTER SETSWe are retiring some of the older boxed Starter Sets in favour of the entry level eight model starter casts.

Never fear, you'll still be able to purchase the Danger 5 (updated with new 2E profile cards), Minions, Federated Security and Future Freedom Fighters sets. However, the others will get replaced by Starter Casts that should coincide with the release of each programme guide.

You can already pick up a new Department X cast and the SHIVA set will be available with the release of the programme guide in the next couple of weeks.

You can also expect to see a Crime genre starter cast as we release some more villains in the next couple of months...

CRIME SPREENext month will see the release of three Ninja (with an alternate ninja head sprue) and a Cultist Dog Handler. These will be followed by six Criminals: a Bruiser, four shot-gun wielding ne'er- do-wells; and a Dog Handler. All sculpted by Andrew May.

Ernst Veingart is also sculpting the Villains 2 pack which will include an Jackbooted Sadist, Insidious Industrialist, Faithful Lackey and Double Agent (pictured below).

PROGRAMME GUIDESSecond edition allows us to deliver these a lot faster. Available as both PDF (which includes cards) and as physical card decks (of which you only need the latter to play), new material will be coming out every couple of months.

Paranormal Exterminators and Department X cards are already out. The SHIVA PDF will be released shortly and we are working on a bumper sized Future Freedom Fighters guide and Project Time Lift to follow that.

The aim is get the Argonauts, the Beat and United Radionics also complete by the end of this year, so we have a clean slate for 2016. We might also throw in a couple of eclectic freebies along the way too...

WARGAMES ILLUSTRATED: 7tv DAYWargames Illustrated are holding a 7TV day on Saturday 28th May 2016. They are offering 24 players the opportunity to visit their HQ in Nottingham, UK and take part in a Campaign Day.

Tickets will cost £30 and will cover all food and drink, including snacks and a hot lunch and CD goodie bag. Producer-Directors will need to provide certain items for use on the day, including their own 28mm miniatures taken from whatever range they fancy!

In keeping with all the WI Gaming Events so far, this is NOT a tournament. Instead, they offer the opportunity to meet up with a wide range of gamers in a central location and have the chance to share an aspect of the hobby. The Campaign Days are designed to be relaxed occasions where the social aspect of the hobby is paramount. We'll be there for a chat as will Kevin Dallimore to judge the best cast!
