What is a Webinar?Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the web. The key feature of a webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information, typically through slide show presentations, streaming video, VoIP, whiteboard and text chat.
All Webinars run from4:30-5:30 on scheduled dates
Must be accessed through Elluminate!
Testing must be done prior to the session to assure your audio works and that JavaScript can download.
A Headset with Microphone is essential.

What are Moderators saying?“Elluminate is without doubt
the most exciting opportunity for professional development that I have ever experienced. The on-line live training in Elluminate is the best place to start to get the basics.”
“By using Elluminate, resources can be shared. Teachers from all over the province can share the great work that they are doing without ever leaving their school or home. Professional development can be completed by simply clicking onto your computer. This opportunity to dialogue with the other teachers throughout the province and to work with them to develop new tools is exciting. “
“As CTS teachers we are often isolated in our schools within our own area of expertise. Does anyone really know what we do? Elluminate offers a different forum for teachers to share their expertise, solving problems and building programs.”
What are participants saying?
“The CTS webinars were very valuable to me. It was an effective use of time, no driving, no fees, no hassle and any questions I had were answered by the experienced instructors. “
“the elluminate technology allows people with fewer resources to share information. A concern with this system is that for most participants to find the time and resources to prepare a session is very difficult. Finding a way to prepare excellent resources is the key to this learning technology.”
What is Elluminate? An On-line LIVE method to provide PD Sessions or have collaborative meetings. It allows for presentations, interaction with the moderator and other participants, collaboration, use of applications, use of the internet, and much, much, more!
What do you need?A system hooked to the internet, microphone headset, and the ability to download JavaScript (some jurisdiction firewalls do not allow downloads and will require simple tech support)
Anything else?Willingness to participate with the moderator and other participants. Willingness to make NEW! Contacts in your CTS area and obtain valuable resources.
