Hadda  Be  playing  On  The  Jukebox    

 "Google   it"   is   what   I   hear   all   the   time   when   I   need   to   know  anything   nowadays,   is   not   many   times   impossible   to   find  something   that   you   need,   however,   I   wanted   to   do   this   project  because,  incredibly,  there  is  not  knowledge  of  Spanish  speakers  in  the  world  of  what  does  this  thing  is  talking  about   (translation).   Neither   there   was   a  complete   list   of   information   that   make  readers  understand  all   events   and  persons  mentioned  throughout  the  narrative.    

“Hadda  Be  Playing  On  The   Jukebox”   is   a   poem  by  American  poet   and  activist  Allen  Ginsberg  who  was  one  of  the  leaders  on  the  50’s  writers  movement   that   came   after   all   that   happened   on   World   War   II.   He  mainly   opposed   militarism,   materialism   and   sexual   repression;   Allen  was   an   opened   homosexual,   proud   and   defender   of   it.   The   Poem  became   very   famous   in   the   90'   by   the   live   performance   and   post  recording   presence   in   the   album   "Live   and   Rare"   by   the   great   Rap-­‐Metal  band   "Rage  Against   the  Machine"  very  well   recognized  by   their  lefty  political  views.  From  Los  Angeles  California,  they  have  sold  more  than  16  millions  of  albums  worldwide  since  debut  in  1993.    The   Poem   has   an   amazing   global   importance,   and   reach   very   delicate   issues   involving,  worldwide  organizations,  fatal  events,  massacres,  wars,  the  CIA,  the  Mafia,  the  FBI,  the  Soviet  

Union,  Cuba  Etc.  the  material  is  incredible,  and  all  this  besides   the   music   the   rhythm   and   the   expression   on  frontman   voice,   make   of   this   one   of   the   best   recited  poems  I  have  heard.  Zach  De   la  Rocha,  voice  of  RATM  (band's   short  name)  with  a  unique   style,   so  powerful,  and  so  full  of  energy,  explodes  with  that  particular  rage  of  him,  the  pure  raw  energy  that  only  RATM  shows.  It's  a  great  poem  greatly   recited  over  great  music.  This   is  fuel   for   a   tired   soul,   for   a   justice   hunter,   for   the  

permanently   postponed   revolution;   a   revolutionary   joy   that   adds   an   especial  meaning   and  understanding   for   anyone   exposed   to   this   material.   I   highly   recommend   getting   into   this  poem,  and  knowing  further  the  work  of  the  Band  and  the  Poet,  they  both  really  make  of  this,  combined  art,  something  worth  to  understand,  just  right  in  every  single  detail.    It  really  moved  me.  I  spend  big  time  lately  wondering  myself,  why?    Why  is  that  having  an  earth  full  of  resources,   food,  materials  and  enough  everything  for  we  all,  poverty  has  to  exist?  Why  they  make  wars  to  become  richer?  Why  sickness  to  sell  medicine?  Why,  they  make  fat  and  miserable  people  to  make  money?  Why  has  oligarchy  want  to  get  the  power  of  more  and  more  ground  and  money?  The  poor,  poorer?   Instead  of  we  all  having  enough,  and  sharing?  why  millions  displaced?  And  why  Every  single  war  has  left  only  fatal  endings  to  defenders  of  convenient  purposes  of  controlling  the  world;  millions  of  them,  passionate  fighters  who  died  thinking   it   was  worth   it.   At   the   end   the   truth   is   not   easy   to   understand   and   assimilate,   it  certainly  leaves  behind  feelings  of  impotence,  bewilderment,  sorrow;  perhaps  with  a  sense  of  disbelief.   Somehow  we   have   to   get   used   to  worry   about  what   is   going   on   out   there   in   the  world,  not  only  the  neighbor  in  the  block,  we  all  must  be  worry  and  in  control  of  everything,  so  we  could  finally  live  in  peace  and  justice.
