DAY ONE – Home to MiamiTravel from your home town to Miami, Florida where we meetour fellow People-to-People participants at the hotel.

DAY TWO – Miami / EmbarkationEnjoy a panoramic city tour of Miami before embarking theAdonia at the Port of Miami. We begin our iconic journey bysailing overnight to Havana, the cultural capital of Cuba. Thisevening enjoy a Welcome Reception onboard followed by an in-formative talk with details of the journey that awaits us. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY THREE – HavanaThis morning, we dock in Havana. After breakfast, disembarkthe ship and begin the cultural exploration of this beautiful city.During the guided walking tour, pass through the four mainsquares of ‘Havana Viejo’ (Old Havana): Plaza Vieja, San Fran-cisco de Assisi, Plaza de Armas and Cathedral Square. Visit the San José Artisans’ Market, the city’slargest craft market, where you have a chance to mix with thelocals as you admire their handiwork. A visit to the HavanaClub Museum of Rum is also included where you learn aboutthe rum-making process and enjoy a tasting of the final prod-uct! An authentic Cuban lunch at a Paladar will be includedduring the excursion. You’ll meet the family and learn abouttheir journey to self-employment. (All meals included)

DAY FOUR – HavanaDisembark the ship for a full day’s guided exploration. See thePlaza de la Revolución, a symbol of Cuba’s history and sitewhere Fidel Castro has addressed his people on many occa-sions. On the visit to Colón Cemetery, view the magnificentlysculpted tombstones, mausoleums and chapels adorning thegraves of Cubans from all walks of life. Lunch is included at aPaladar and a local project featuring Cuban art / artists will bevisited. During a tour of an organic farm, meet the farmers andlearn how they grow a variety of plants, medicinal herbs andseedlings, all of which impact the community’s employment andhealth. Discovery continues with a visit to the town of Cojimarwhere Hemingway used to spend his days. Interact with staff atLas Terrazas Bar and hear stories of Hemingway’s fishing expedi-tions. See the marina where he kept his boat and Finca Vigia,his previous home. (All meals included)

DAY FIVE – At SeaSpend the day at sea. Join in cultural presentations, panel dis-cussions and interactive workshops onboard to learn moreabout the Cuban people and lifestyle. (All meals included)

DAY SIX – CienfuegosDuring this morning’s walking tour you’ll see why the city’s his-toric center, with its remarkable collection of French-influencedNeo-classical buildings, is designated as a UNESCO World Her-itage Site. No wonder the Cubans call this shining port city LaPerla del Sur (the Pearl of the South). A highlight of the visitwill be a performance by the Cienfuegos Choir. Afterwards,chat with the musicians in an open discussion to learn about

their training and how they became members of the ensemble.Return to the ship for an afternoon sailing. (All meals included)

DAY SEVEN – Santiago de CubaThe second largest city of Cuba, it remains as an important sea-port to the island. During the excursion, see San Juan Hill, theMoncada Barracks, the Bacardi Museum, Santa Ifigenia Ceme-tery, Antonio Maceo Revolution Square and the bustling citycenter. A visit to the local citadel of San Pedro de la Roca, aUNESCO World Heritage Site, exposes us to the most completeand best-preserved example of Spanish American military archi-tecture. Learn the story and importance of Cuba’s most reveredCatholic shrine from our guide as we visit the Basilica de Nues-tra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre before returning to the ship. DAY EIGHT – At SeaThe last day onboard is spent at sea, as we complete our 360°circumnavigation of the island and return to Miami across theFlorida Straits. Attend a cultural awareness session or watch afilm about Cuba’s Golden Age. This evening, enjoy the farewelldinner onboard. (All meals included)

DAY NINE – Disembarkation in MiamiFollowing breakfast, we disembark at the Port of Miami withwonderful memories of Cuba and its people as we continue onour journey home. Flight should depart Miami after 1:00p.m.(All meals included)
