Profile After a “look in the kitchen” of the Dutch Competition Authority, I started my career as a lawyer in 1998 and specialised in European and Dutch competition law at three different law-firms. I advised clients in various industries and sectors, including the automotive sector, the real estate sector, the food (agricultural) sector, the retail sector and the elevator sector and assisted them in cases before the European Commission, the Dutch Competition Authority and the Dutch court. In 2007, I became in-house legal counsel at Friesland Foods where I joined the competition law team that was responsible for the Friesland Foods – Campina merger filing in Brussels. After the merger, I was appointed as Compliance Officer Antitrust and became responsible for the worldwide roll-out of the FrieslandCampina Antitrust Compliance Program. I intensely trained and advised the four business groups + corporate staff departments at FrieslandCampina for almost 8 years. Beginning 2014, my role extended into Senior Counsel Business Conduct, covering not only antitrust, but also other compliance-related topics like anti-bribery and trade sanctions. This was part of the introduction of a new code of conduct and whistleblowing procedure at FrieslandCampina to come to an even higher culture of integrity. In October 2015, I decided to continue my career outside FrieslandCampina and to fully focus on what I enjoy the most: compliance training & advice, including the roll-out of a compliance program. Senior lawyer at the antitrust department of Clifford Chance in Amsterdam. Work included advising clients on all aspects of European and Dutch competition law (antitrust, dominance and merger control) as well as assisting them in cases before the European Commission and the Dutch Competition Authority.

Nov 2000 – March 2006 Boekel De Nerée Lawyer and later Senior Lawyer at Boekel de
