Selected achievements

Teacher Support Network and Recourse charities I joined this group of charities initially on a fixed contract when it was

suffering a collapse in staff morale, fundraising had almost halted and a projected deficit of £300,000 had been breached and was projected to exceed £400,000.

Devised a budget strategy to reduce the deficit to zero over three years which was on target to reduce to £250,00 after year one.

Revised branding and messaging and devised a new campaign ‘Every teacher should know’ generating a significant rise in service usage.

As part of the Senior Management Team I was actively involved in restructuring and refocusing the charities’ work, including increased emphasis on preventative work through the research and policy team which I also managed, devising staff training and restructuring the budget and devising and introducing new financial procedures.

Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency Undertook a strategic cross-QCDA events review with over 50

recommendations which were accepted. BETT Show and Education Show 2010 stands successfully delivered at

Olympia and NEC with approx £10,000 saving on previous year. Ofsted Successfully managed 2008 and 2009 Outstanding Provider events for

Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector. Delivered 2009 events at lower cost but with more events, more delegates and more prestigious venues.

Event and brand management for joint Safeguarding Review launch with 8 other inspectorates. Commendation received from HMCI.

Major role in launch of Early Years Leading to excellence report achieving substantial increase in web traffic over previous years, and in launch of HMCI’s Annual Report.
