Highland’s Applebee’s FundraiserHighland’s Applebee’s FundraiserHighland’s Applebee’s Fundraiser On Saturday, October 13th, Highland High School’s Key Club hosted a fundraiser at our lo-
cal Applebee’s restaurant. We had a great turn out and made about $600. This was my first
time serving at Applebee’s for Key Club and it was super fun. I served teachers, parents, and
friends pancakes, sausages, and eggs. (To everyone’s disappointment, bacon was taken off the
menu.) Although it was pretty early in the morning and on a Saturday, Applebee’s was full of
happy, hungr y customers . Overal l , i t was an amazing experience.

R.T.C. was on October 20th in Hesperia, CA. Members from Division 38 West, Divi-
sion 38 East, and Las Vegas came together to learn more about Key Club and social-
ize with new friends. The workshops here included: BEE A Leader, Etiquette, Finding
Service Projects, Fundraising, How to BEE a Member, Icebreakers, Key Club 101, and
Kiwanis Family Involvement.

Paraclete High School is hosting its Third Annual Special Spirits Dance on November 3,
2012. For those that do not know, the Special Spirits Dance is a dance for those with special needs both physically and mentally. Last DCON, it had won Distinguished
Distr ic t Project . PHS needs a l l the help that i t can to run this dance.
So… How can you help out? Members of Key Club are invited to participate by going to
the dance and just having fun with the attendees. Donations of treats, stuffed animals,
or decorations are greatly appreciated.
I hope to see many of my fellow Robots in attendance at this great event. For more infor-

The 67th annual California-Nevada-Hawaii District Convention will be held
in the city of Anaheim on March 22-24, 2013. Here is your opportunity to
meet thousands of Key Clubbers from the span of three states, be recognized
for your club's achievements, elect the 2013-2014 Executive Board, and dance
the night away at the Governor's Ball on Saturday night. Don't miss out on
the most amazing Key Club event of the year!

Fall Rally South
Due to the District's massive size,
two Fall Rallies are held each year;
one in Northern California at Six
Flags Discovery Kingdom, one in
Southern California at Six Flags
Magic Mountain. Thousands of mem-
bers gather at each of the two theme
parks on their selected day, one in
October, one in November. At Fall
Rally North and South, LTGs and
Executive officers are "auctioned" off
to Divisions; the winning Division is
able to then spend a designated peri-
od of time with the "purchased" of-
ficer. Auction funds and a portion of
the ticket sales for both events go to-
wards the Pediatric Trauma Program.
