The course complements the Oxford advanced pain and Symptom ManagementCourse,andspeakersaredrawnfromtheirspecialty, from outside palliative medicine.
This course aims to provide: a review of advances and changes in disease management. an opportunity to discuss the management of these problems within the palliative care setting and to share practical tips.

dr mary miller is a consultant in palliative medicine and Clinical head at SobellHouse,OxfordUniversityHospitalsNHSTrust.SheisanhonoraryseniorlecturerattheUniversityofOxford.ShequalifiedfromUniversityCollege Cork in 1988 and trained in medicine before discovering the specialty of palliative medicine in 1992. Mary trained and worked in palliative medicine in three countries before starting this consultant post in 1998.
