The Senators are a member of the great Midwest

Athletic Conference (gMAC). This dynamic conference

features schools from four states and conducts

championships in multiple sports, making it one of

America’s fastest-growing NCAA Division II conferences.

Davis & Elkins competes in 16 sports at the varsity level

which represents 30% of our student body.

Our coaches are dedicated to representing the College

with athletic and academic excellence. We believe

athletics complement the educational mission of the

College, to prepare and to inspire students for success!

The community and region is known for its scenic,

mountain beauty with year-round events which

include concerts, theatre productions, Branson-style

entertainment, and a continuous schedule of art-related

events and workshops. Home of the Mountain State

Forest Festival, Elkins attracts thousands of visitors in

early October to witness the amazing fall foliage at one

of the oldest and largest festivals in West Virginia.

Davis & Elkins College is nestled in the beautiful Appalachian

Mountains which have long been a destination for travelers

and outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Regionally, D&E is close

to whitewater rafting, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, rock

climbing, hunting and fishing areas, kayaking and horseback riding.

The region is home to multiple well-known ski resorts, including

Snowshoe Mountain and Canaan Valley – both about an hour from

campus.

99% percentage of students receiving financial assistance

Students attending Davis & Elkins College are eligible to receive

merit based scholarships based on high school or college gPA

and ACT or SAT Scores (if applicable). In addition, partial athletic

and fine and performing arts scholarships are available. For more

information on these scholarships, please visit the Financial

Planning Scholarships page on our website at www.dewv.edu.

All students are required to complete the Free Application for

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The FAFSA will

help determine any additional financial assistance for which a

student may qualify. Don’t forget to include D&E on your FAFSA,

our code is 003811. This additional assistance can include federal

grants, state grants and scholarships, loans, and work study. For

additional information on financing your D&E education, please

b. Hallie is a National Historic Landmark.

A wonderful location for your parents to lodge and dine. It also provides hands-on experience for our Hospitality and Tourism Management majors. graceland is a stone mansion that has been turned into a beautiful inn and restaurant.

5. THE gATEHOUSE The gatehouse welcomes

you to campus. The tower is lit at the beginning of every school year and stays on until you leave for summer.

11. JENNINgS RANDOLPH HALL Home of the campus

newspaper, yearbook, campus activities board, and chaplain’s office. Plus, Fine and Performing Arts, and the Augusta Heritage Center.

10. BOOTH LIBRARY The center of campus,

which also houses our Information Technology (IT) Department and our TRiO program offices.

6. Memorial Gymnasium/Martin Field house/Seybolt Golf Academy

The practice gym for the athletic teams. In the past the gym was also a site for community dances, dinners, and speaking engagements.

7. THE BOILER HOUSE THEATRE

Rustic and intimate. The interior production area, 60 x 40 feet, is an ideal space for end, thrust, three-fourths round, full round or environmental staging.

You’ll be here daily. This is where you eat, go to the book store, and shoot pool.

12. THE ICE HOUSE Literally, the

ice house for Halliehurst back in the 1800s. Now it’s the campus pub and coffee house.

9. LIBERAL ARTS HALL Adjacent and connected

to Albert Hall by an eye-catching, stone, arched walkway. Offices include; Business, Education Department, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Life.

entering our beautiful campus. Contains classrooms, faculty offices, Writing Center, and Supported Learning Program (SLP). Spectacular views from this campus location!

business, computer science, math, natural and physical science, and nursing classrooms. Additionally, take a glimpse atop the roof at our greenhouse!
