Entrance Hymn Come let us bow down to Christ, As we worship Him, The Son of God. Save us, O Son of God, Who did rise from the dead, We sing to You: Alleluia

Resurrectional Apolytikion (Plagal Four)

From on high You descended, O merciful Lord. You accepted the Cross and three days in the Tomb to free us from the bondage of sin. O our Life and Resurrection. Glory to You, O Lord.

Apolytikion for the Forefathers

By faith You justified the Forefathers, Having through them betrothed to yourself The Church that came out of the nations. The saints are boasting in glory; For the glorious fruit, The Virgin who without seed gave birth to You, Is from their progeny. At their entreaties, O Christ our God, save our souls.

Apolytikion for Devout Father John of Damascus Guide of Orthodoxy and a sacred teacher of piety and dignity, Luminary of the world, and God-inspired jewel of monastics, O wise John, the Spirit's instrument: by your teachings you enlightened all. Intercede with Christ our God for the salvation of our souls.

Church Hymn (Troparion of Pentecost)

Blessed are You O Christ our God Who has shown the fishermen as wise men By sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them And through them, the whole world You drew into Your net O Lover of mankind, glory to You. Evlogitos i Hriste O Theos imon, O Pansofous tous aliis anadixas, Katapempsas aftis to Pnevma to agion, Ke thi afton tin ikoumenin saginefsas, Filanthrope doxa Si.

Kontakion - Preparation of the Nativity Today the Virgin goes forth, Making her way to a cave Where from her ineffably, God the eternal Word will be born. Let the world be filled with joy, Hearing these tidings. Joining the angels and shepherds Let us give glory to Him Who is God from all ages Yet wills to be seen as a little Child.

After the Prayer of the Proskomidi I love you, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior.

Upcoming Weeks

EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Letter to the Colossians 3:4-11 BRETHREN, when Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. In these you once walked, when you lived in them. But now put them all away; anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.

GOSPEL READING: The Gospel according to St. Luke 14:16-24 The Lord said this parable: "A man once gave a great banquet, and invited many; and at the time of the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for all is now ready.' But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a field, and I go out and see it; I pray you, have me excused.' And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I must go to examine them; I pray you, have me excused.' And another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' So the servant came and reported this to his master. Then the householder in anger said to his servant, 'Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and maimed and blind and lame.' And the servant said, 'Sir, what you commanded has been done, and there is still room.' And the master said to the servant, 'Go out to the highways and hedges, and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled. For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste my banquet. For many are called, but few are chosen.'"

Iconography Phase 3

The General Assembly in March 2016 voted to proceed with the Phase 3 of our iconography project. A listing of all icons for this third and final iconography project that will complete our magnificent Church will be provided soon for all Parishioners to participate. The process is the same as Phase 2 -- "first come, first served”.

New IRA Law

For those who are 70 ½ years old and older, consider this new charitable contribution transfer directly from your IRA to Holy Trinity Church -- with NO tax and NO penalty. Maximum annual amount per year can total $100,000. This is a win-win for donor and Holy Trinity Church!
