EVERY DAY IS A BONUS!

A man of 92 years, short, very well-presented, who takes great care in his appearance, is moving into an old people's home today. After waiting several hours in the retirement home lobby, he gently smiles as he is told that his room is ready. His wife of 80 has recently died, and he is obliged to leave his home. As he slowly walks to the elevator, using his cane, I describe his small room to him, including the sheet hung at the window which serves as a curtain. "I like it very much", he says, with the enthusiasm of an 8 year old boy who has just been given a new puppy. " You haven't even seen the room yet, hang on a moment, we are almost there. " " That has nothing to do with it ", he replies. " It is already decided in my mind that I like my room. It is a decision I take every morning when I wake up.” " Happiness is something I choose in advance. Whether or not I like the room does not depend on the furniture, or the decor rather it depends on how I decide to see it. " "I can choose. I can spend my day in bed enumerating all the difficulties that I have with the parts of my body that no longer work very well, or I can get up and give thanks to heaven for those parts that are still in working order. " "Every day is a gift, and as long as I can open my eyes, I will focus on the new day, and all the happy memories that I have built up during my life. " "Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw in later life what you have deposited along the way. " So, my advice to you is to deposit all the happiness you can in your bank account of memories. Thank you for your part in filling my account with happy memories, which I am still continuing to fill.

Remember these simple guidelines for happiness.

CHENNAI RAINS PHASE-I

Chennai experienced very heavy rains and

consequently flooding started around Diwali and continued for he following two weeks. Major parts of the city were inundated and streets rendered im-passable. Citizens were unable to venture out of their homes to buy necessities, causing immense hardships to families especially the ones with with young children and old people.

This was when Shriram City team members stepped in to do their bit for their city. Colleagues passed the hat around, and the money collected was used to purchase essential rations which were then cooked by our very efficient chef Mr. Satyan.

The cooked meals were then packed into boxes and distributed by a ten-member intrepid Shriram City team to the worst-affected parts of Chennai over two days. 125 food boxes and water bottles were distributed to families in Saidapet on 18th November.

The next day saw 200 boxes and water bottles being distributed in the morning in Kotturpuram. With the balance money left ,cooking utensils were purchased and distributed to another 150 families near Tambaram. Breeze expresses its sincerest appreciation to the volunteer team members for their efforts.

Diwali celebration with Special Children

WE WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU THE WONDERFUL GESTURE THAT OUR MAHARASHTRA AURANGABAD DIVISION TEAM HAVE DONE. THE TEAM HAS COLLECTED FUNDS FROM MEMBERS OF STAFF AND THEY HAVE VISITED THE “HOME WITH SPECIAL CHILDREN” TO MEET THEM ON THE EVENT DIWALI. NOT ONLY DID THEY GIVE THEM MONEY, THEY HAVE SPENT SOME TIME WITH THEM, WHICH IS ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL GESTURES THAT A HUMAN BEING CAN DO.

THE BACKROUND FOR THIS WAS THEY HAD ACTUALLY PLANNED TO CELEBRATE “GANESH UTSAV” AT AURANGABAD CPU WITH A GET–TO-GETHER FOR LUNCH. ON A RE-THOUGHT THEY FELT WITH THE CONTRIBUTION IS ANABLE COURSE IT WOULD BE BETTER TO SHARE WITH THE LESSER PRIVILEGED THAT ENJOY A SUMPTOUS LUNCH THEMSELVES. SO THEY DECIDED TO CELEBRATE DIWALI IN A ORPHANAGE WITH CHILDREN AFFECTD BY AIDS.

1) In the application form that we got filled from the customer for the loan process, a customer’s name has

been written wrongly. The customer sends us a mail saying that his profile data has been wrongly udated .

Beware !! Use of Headphones & Earphones Can Cause Permanent Hearing Loss:

Personal sound systems have become so overwhelmingly popular it seems almost

everywhere you go, you see people of all ages tuned into what they want to

hear and tuned out of the world around them.

That said, what is the future cost for the luxury we have today to pump up the volume and listen to anything we want whenever and wherever we go, for how ever long we choose? What is the cost to the people that portable listening devices, especially in-ear headphones, are most popular with; namely, our youth? A leading cause of hearing impairments used to be excessive noise exposure in the workplace, but today many young people are losing their hearing at alarming rates due to excessive noise exposure from portable stereo earphones. "Listening through headphones at a high volume for extended periods of time can re-sult in lifelong hearing loss for children and teens," says a study."Even a mild hearing loss due to excessive noise could lead to developmental delays in speech and lan-guage." But many probably don't realize that they are unintentionally damaging their hearing by listening to music through earphones at high volume for just an hour every day if you can hear the sound being delivered into a person's ear via headphones or earphones, it indicates the sound is too loud and over an extended period can lead to permanent hearing loss. Recovery & FI department expired in a Road accident on 17th July, 2015.

Mr. Shiv joined Shriram City family on 02nd December 2014 as Trainee Recovery- Recovery & FI in Sriganganagar Location. During his ten-ure he was found to be very hardworking, punc-tual & kind. He was also a very good performer. The sudden death of Mr. Shiv has been a big loss & shock to the organization.

Our employee Office Assistant expired in a

Road accident on 24th September, 2015. Mr. Sonu joined Shriram City on 28th August 2013 as Trainee Assistant in Agra Location. During his tenure he was found to be very hard-

working, punctual & kind. He always shows dedication towards his work. The sudden death of Mr. Sonu has been a big loss & shock to the organisation, as this was third death in the Shriram City family this year .

Money cannot replace the position of the person in his family.

But still, our organisation has tried to give a little help to their dependant family. The compensation cheque was handed over by

Branch Manager, Sriganganagar and Mr. Shahid Afaq, Uttar Pradesh respectively.
