Material1.20 m de listn de organza naranja de

1. Corta cuatro tiras de 15 cm de listn de organza naranja. Con dostiras forma una L, une con hilvn en el cruce. Utiliza hilo del color del

listn, lo ilustramos con hilo negro para que realzara en la foto y se vieraclaramente. Hilvana al centro, a lo largo, cada tira de listn porseparado.

2. Tira de cada hilo para plegar, une los extremos y cselos para rematar. Haz lo mismo con otras dostiras. Une a las anteriores cosindolas al centro para que quede una flor de cuatro ptalos. De la mismamanera haz dos flores de cada color con el listn de organza floreado.

3. Haz seis hojas, cada una con una tira de 15 cm de listn de organzaverde. Hilvana una de las orillas y pliega. Csela por la parte de abajouniendo los dos extremos. Pega las flores a la caja. A cada flor pgaletres perlas en el centro. Corta 10 tiras de 10 cm de listn satinadodorado, dblalos a la mitad y pgalos entre las flores a la caja.

Blow up a balloon until it's roughly thesize of your head.

Stand it in a bowl or shoe box with the tieat the top.

Mix some PVA glue and water, and paste itonto the balloon.

Then cover the balloon with strips oftissue paper or kitchen roll. Go right up tothe tie, but don't cover it.

After two layers of glue and tissue paperor kitchen roll, leave to dry.

Once it has dried, cut the tie off the

balloon, and when the balloon hasdeflated pull it out.

To make the eyes for the monster, fold asheet of newspaper along the long side,then roll it into a rough sausage shape.

Give it a twist to hold it in place.

Next, wrap a ping pong ball up in one end,

like this.

Hold it in the middle then fold the paperacross, to trap it. Twist the ends and tape

in place.

You can make as many of these as youlike.

Next, stick them onto the monster using

plenty of sticky tape.

To make lips, roll some newspaper into athin sausage shape and then make it intoa ring shape. Use sitcky tape to hold it in

place.

Use the same method to make somenostrils for the monster.

To make a tongue, cut out some cereal

box card and cover it in newspaper...

...then tape it into position!

Legs are made by rolling more newspaperinto sausage shapes.

Again, use sticky tape to hold them in

shape!

Tape the legs to the bottom of the balloon.

Use more PVA glue and layers of tissuepaper to strengthen the legs.

When dry, you can paint!

And when the paint has dried, you can adddetail.

For example, add pupils to the ping pongballs to make them look more like eyes!

That completes your pet monster.

Looks good, doesn't it?

You can make different colouredmonsters...

...and you could even make your monsterto a different design.

How about this one?

You can even compine more than one kindballoon for a totally different shape!

Try it yourself!

Make yourself a priceless relic - an ancient, mythical solid gold sun and silver moon!

You will need:

gold and silver paint

cardboard box card

PVA glue

newspaper

string dinner plate

pencil

tape

To draw the sun:

Take a big sheet of cardboard box card,and draw around a dinner plate, to form abig circle.

For the sun's rays, draw four big wavyprongs.

Then add four medium sized prongs inbetween the big ones.

In between the medium sized prongs,draw some little wavy ones.

To draw the face of the sun, add two bigbulgy eyes.

Draw a big, bobble-like nose, and add afriendly smile with big, full lips and a chin

at the bottom.

Don't forget to add big podgy cheeks!

Carefully cut all this out.

To draw the moon, take another sheet of

card, and draw around it in the same wayusing your plate.

However, push the plate slightly over to

the right and draw down the left handside of the plate to make a moon shape.

Now give the moon some features.

Draw a nose and full fat lips, an eye, aneyebrow and a big fat cheek.

Carefully cut it out, and youll havesomething that looks like this.

To pad out the features of the sun and themoon:

Scrunch up some bits of newspaper intoballs, and tape them together into shape.

Twist some strips of newspaper.

Tape the balls and twisted strips onto thesun's features to create a 3D effect.

For the lines use the twisted strips. Cutthem to size and shape.

Don't forget to tape some twisted stripsalong the pointed prongs of the sun.

If you do the whole thing in the same

way, padding it out with newspaper, youllhave something that looks like this.

If you do the moon in exactly the sameway, youll have something that looks likethis.

To strengthen your sun and moon even

more, mix some PVA glue in equal partswith water.

Paste the glue all over the newspaper andcardboard bits of your sun and moon.

Lay on strips of kitchen roll or tissuepaper, making sure you push it down intoall the nooks and crannies.

Cover the whole thing in one layer oftissue and glue, and leave to dry.

When its dry, youll have something thatlooks like this.

To paint your sun and moon:

Using poster or acrylic paint, paint them

both in black first.

To turn the sun into solid gold, cheat!

Scrunch up a bit of tissue paper or kitchen

roll and dip it into some gold paint. Dab

off the excess, and then gently dab thepaint on top of the raised black area.Stroke it on very gently, picking out thefeatures and the detail with the goldpaint.

Use yellow paint if you don't have any

gold, adding a touch of green and black tothe yellow paint to make it slightly gold-

like.

Paint the moon silver in a similar way.

Dip some tissue paper or kitchen roll into

the silver paint, dab off the excess, thendab it on.

Leave them both to dry. Tape string ontothe back if you want to hang the sun andmoon up.

something that looks like this.
