Currently, simulation is a key area in the defense environment because it enables validation of new technologies and allows controlled and replicable low-cost training management as compared to using real means.

GTD Software Engineering is highly experienced in developing different simulator types, and has positioned itself as an integrator of comprehensive simulation systems, mainly for realistic crew training as well as for system verification.

To complement their product portfolio, GTD offer their clients an extensive experience in the area of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), covering the development of simulation and training tools; as well as elaborating technical documentation, providing specific training and maintaining and operating the systems, including the ones developed by third parties.

Integrated Systems

GTD Software Engineering provide technical consul-tancy services to the main clients in the defense and aeronautics field at their own facilities. They also offer work package services. This administrative globalization allows a flexible and service committed experience, gai-ning productivity, quality-cost-time and risk-sharing.

Embarked Systems

In the embedded software field, we specialize in software development for avionics systems. GTD Software Engineering is highly experienced in the integration of systems like IFF, MMC, MIDS, AMS, Tail boom Joystick, as well as in their technical aspects: levels A, B, C, D of DO-178B, requirements specification, design, implementation, V&V and configuration management.

Working on an integrated team, GTD FTI engineers are responsible for the instrumentation of two of the four A400M prototypes. They cover everything from the integration of the sensors and test equipment in the plane, to the management of the generated records, through SW development for surveying the test in real time, tools for post-processing and supervising the telemetry system.

WATCHER Solutions is the range of Advanced Observers for ground, naval and air surveillance systems for manned or unmanned vehicles, permanent positions as well as the rapidly deployable, light and portable version.

The purpose of WATCHER is to obtain infrared and visible video signals, as well as distance and orientation data of an observed objective. This data, and having the system located in a known position, allows calculating the position of possible objectives. To carry out the defined functions, WATCHER will have, among others, the following elements:

BORDER CONTROL Solutions is the command and control solution that provides commanders with the necessary information and the processing capacity in order to assist in the decisions that enables acting on the different components of the military action field.

GTD Software Engineering develops and integrates command and control systems for the monitoring and centralized control of the operations. These systems allow real-time integration of the information from the different WATCHER Solutions units (ground, air or marine, stationary or portable) present on the battlefield, providing the command with a more accurate view of the tactical situation.

GTD Software Engineering has developed iWATCHER CC, a generic command and control environment, easily customizable for a specific system, including:

• Planning systems, monitoring, mission control and data exploitation through systems in the WATCHER Solutions range.

• Integration with secure tactical communication networks

• Submission of data to the operator, using the most advanced ergonomic techniques, synthetics, history, etc.

Box-TE

Solution for power supply, control and real-time streaming of wireless video.

Box-TE refers to the main functions of the products, to encapsulate in a portable case (“Box”) the telecommunications (“T”) and energy (“E”) functions.

The main application of the system is to serve as communication and power supply equipment for portable units in the WATCHER Solutions range, hence integrating video encoder equipment (Box-TE is integrated with the client’s video cameras).

The equipment integrates several HW and SW elements to fulfill these functionalities, including the following components:

• Two redundant 24V batteries, with dual power output for 24V and 12V.

• Two encoders from analog video to IP (one in SD and another one in HD).

• WiFi access point and Ethernet socket.

• 3G/4G connectivity through USB modem.

• Rugged case with military connectors (VCC output, Ethernet, video signals…).

• LCD text display to check status of Box-TE (status of battery charging, BITE of the internal components…).

• All the functions and integrated equipment are monitored internally by the SW of the Box-TE, therefore knowing its internal status at all times.


Box-TS

It’s a costumized HW/SW development for every WATCHER Solution that provides the operating unit with the testing and simulation capacity of every component integrated in the system in an ergonomic way and at a low cost.

Allows detection through a simple application of possible limitations of the system, which will help to quickly identify the degraded element.




OPTICAL Solutions is the range of products offered by GTD Software Engineering that are embeddable with WATCHER Solutions or stand-alone function based on eye-safe IR LED technology that allow:

Optical communications (Based on Light Speed)

LSB22 The eye-safe IR LED allows non-visible communication between units at distances up to 2.5km. Provides full-duplex voice communication and measures distances between LightSpeed devices with very high accuracy to provide distance, velocity and acceleration. Functions as a network link to a remote computing device or to another system via USB network connection.

LSSR20 The eye-safe IR LED allows non-visible communication between units at distances up to 2km. LSSR20 provides full-duplex voice communication, and functions as an Ethernet link to a remote computing device or to another system via a standard Ethernet connection.

LSSRM23 This LightSpeed technology replaces a legacy Phone and Distance Line (PDL) system during Underway Replenishment (UNREP). The system is capable of passing any information (including tactical) in any format (open source) from ship (any size) to shore to mobile. There is Non-RF silent communication during approach. The LSSRM23 transceiver units’ use eye safe IR LEDs.

LSSR26, LSSR27 The low cost analog LightSpeed technology provides audio communications with LSSR26. LSSR27 extends analog video transmission up to 200 meters range offering connection to a security camera from just about any location.

LSLR40 The eye-safe IR LED allows non-visible communication between units at distance up to 6km. Provides full-duplex voice communication and functions as an Ethernet link to a remote computing device or to another system via a standard Ethernet connection.

LSV10 This electro-optical communication system is used as an extension to a vehicular intercom system to provide 2-way voice and data communication throughout a convoy. May be used to maintain networked communication throughout the convoy while operating under radio silent or RF (Radio Frequency) denied (jammed) environments.

L10, L15 Light Gun for Signaling - Small, portable, simple to use LED based Light Gun for Signaling. Operates on Harris and Brentronics standard batteries or external power. Lightweight - <1kg, fits into a pocket! Can be used to transmit Morse code or color light signals. 12 hours of continuous ON operation/illumination on one charge.

LSU10, LSU15 Provides a 2-way, non-RF communication system from submarines to surface, airborne or underwater platforms with a wide angle of view. Avoids conspicuous operation and detection by creating a 1-10Mbps optical channel between a submarine underway and below water surface at distances exceeding 10km. The single reinforced fiber handles both Transmit and Receive. The eye-safe blue light LED used by LSU10 allows communications between units at distances up to 300 meters. The units function as an Ethernet link to a remote computing device or to another system via a standard Ethernet connection.

VENOM stands for Velocity Extracted from scintillation via Optical Measurement. A weapon-mounted wind measurement device contains all the functions of laser rangefinder, ballistic computer and other sensors, including inclinometer, thermometer, barometer, etc. VENOM connects to external devices such as Kestrel or PDAs. Range capability is 1800-2000m with accuracy of measurement better than +-0.5mph.

The VENOM Ballistics Solver (VBS) is the first small arms ballistics solver properly computing the wind’s influence on a bullet. VBS contains all standard drag curves and can support designer rounds. VBS is available as a stand-alone program under Windows or Android OS.

TPL has designed a unique solution providing standard GoPro™ Hero™ 2, 3 and 4 compatible housing together with 20x zoom lens that fits standard unmodified Hero camera. EagleEye is water-resistant, can be mounted on a tripod, Picatinny rail on a weapon system or even hand-held. The amazing GoPro™ camera can now record events up to 1km!

GoPro™ Hero™ 3 has a fantastic super wide angle lens. Quite often it is desirable to have different focal length lens. TPL has designed a unique solution providing standard GoPro™ Hero™ 3 housing together with a C-mount compatible optical system. Any c-mount lens from 40mm focal length on up will work. The adapter also has a standard ¼-20 tripod mount. The amazing GoPro™ camera can now use any photographic lens with a C-mount adapter ring.

GoPro™ Hero™ 3 has a fantastic small versatile camera. TPL has created an attachment for a gun scope that finally allows to record or view in real time the video from the shooter. GoPro™ Hero™ 3 versatile camera can use WiFi or wire to output HDTV feed showing what the shooter sees in his scope. EagleEye product will withstand the gun recoil to 50cal and easily mounts on any scope neck from 30mm to 36mm diameter. An optional quick-release latch will allow rapid attachment.
