Defining Collection Plan Element Alert Actions

Concept

You can assign any of these five alert actions to collection plan elements:

• Send an electronic mail notification.

• Execute a SQL script.

• Execute an operating system script.

• Launch a concurrent request.

While defining Quality alert actions, you need to give action details, like the recipients (for

electronic mail notifications) or arguments, and file names (for SQL and operating system

scripts). You can also customize alert action details associating output variables that represent

quality results values. You can associate a output variable token to represent values, so that these

values can be included in the details of the alert action.

In this topic, you will define a collection plan element alert action.

Procedure

Step Action

1. Begin by navigating to the Collection Plans page.

Click the vertical scrollbar.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager link.

4. Click the Collection Plans link.

5. Use the Organizations page to select the appropriate organization.

8. Use the Collection Plans page to query for the collection plan for which you want

to define a collection plan element alert action.

10. Click in the Collection Plan field.

11. Enter the desired information into the Collection Plan field. Enter "IND%".

13. In the Quality Collection Elements region of the Collections Plans page,

select the collection element to which you want to define an alert action, and select

the Actions button.

rule.

You can select from four of the alert actions available in Oracle Quality:

represents a results value. You can associate token names with any collection

element, including common collection plan elements.
