• Public space: from public to production to commons?• Change: from technological innovation to multiple futures?

• Economy: From haunting “marginal costs” to engaging “marginal resources”?

• Innovation: from “new” to “well composed” (“slow”), and from “market‐driven” to “commons‐based”?

• Actors: from “designers” to “participatory citizenship”?• Thing: from “projects” to “infrastructuring”?

design thinging and making futures: challenges in the city of malmö

• social innovation: citizen/city collaboration?

• opening production: citizens as producers?

• emerging publics: new forms of thinging?

Connectivity LabConnectivity Lab will be an open collaborative lab space connecting researchers, companies, public institutions, organisations and citizens and giving them access to tools, new technologies, knowledge and skills in order to experiment with and prototype ideas, products and services. The aim of the lab is to be a centre for prototype development in the space between the physical and the virtual.

‐”Engaging, mobilizing, connecting and triggering stakeholders‐Paying considerable attention to marginal resources (inclusive approach!)‐Connect top down structures with bottom up grass root initiatives. ‐Setting up open‐ended design processes

‐living with uncertainty‐navigating with and within designing networks‐striving for serendipity‐ a lot of patch work (it will be that anyhow)

‐Facilitating collaborative problem formulation and agonistic spaces (that allow controversies to reside side by side).‐Setting up public small‐scale experiments to rise questions and dilemmas‐Be ready and have the ability to act on unexpected opportunities”Per‐Anders Hillgren, Malmö Living Labs
