1 Hookup Template

We will not be designing the entire hookup template from scratch.

1. Click on the Go Button > Templates.2. In the Templates List, click the Hookups tab.3. In the Templates List, open the Flow Transmitter.dgm template.4. Draw the hookup below in the space provided on the template, using the functions in the

Draw Shapes ribbon bar.

2 Hookups

2.1 User Interface

Hookup Details Tab

· Hookup Document Details - All information regarding the document is entered/selectedhere.

· Hookup Items List - Lists all the items that are associated with the current hookup.· Hookup Standards List - Lists the Hookup Standards in the project.

· Associated Tag Numbers - Lists the tag numbers that are already associated with thehookup.

· Available Tag Numbers - Lists the tag numbers that have not been associated to anyhookup.

2.2 Exercise

Create a hookup and populate it with data.

1. Click on the Go Button > Hookups.2. In the Hookups ribbon bar, click on New.3. Under Tag Number, enter Hookup-01.4. Click Ok.5. Under Hookups Templates, select Flow Transmitter.dgm.6. Under Drawing Name, enter Hookups Training.7. From the Hookup Standards List, select the following hookup items and add them by

clicking the left arrow.

8. Click on the Associate Tag Numbers tab.9. Under Available Tag Numbers, double click on 20-FT-01 to associate it with the hookup.10. In the Hookup Actions ribbon bar, click Save.11. In the Hookup Actions ribbon bar, click Preview to create the hookup and view it.

3 Hookup Standards

3.1 Exercise

1. In the menu bar, click View.2. In the Standards Editors ribbon bar, click Hookup Standards.

You can add/delete/modify/copy hookup standards here.

1. Click Add.2. In the HookupSTD field, enter Enclosure.3. In the Description field, enter Epoxy coated housing.4. In the HType field, enter HOUSING.5. Click OK.6. Open Hookup-01 from the Hookups module.7. In the Hookup Standards List, filter the HookupSTD field for "enclosure".
