Facts of this design

• Generally:

o Produced in autoclav production technique, which is unique among the ultralight class of aircraft

o Complete analysis and design of all load carriying components including the passenger cell up to a maximum take-off weight of 600 kg on the basis of the British CAP643 Section T guidelines

o Manufactured to UK construction standards Section T CAP643 ( Construction rules up to MTOW of 600kg (1320 lbs) It operates in Ultralight class. (Germany or other countries are only up to 450kg (990 lbs) MTOW.

o Open or closed cockpit operation possible. o Significantly reduced noise when Canopy is closed. o Handling characteristics are optimized due to aerodynamic body design o Highly comfortable seats and ergonomically designed cockpit o Enclosed engine exhaust system reduces noise o ISO 9001:2000 certified serial production (prduct and process integrity, availability of spare

parts, PLM, etc.) o An RFID chip integrated in each Arrow-Copter provides access to all manufacturing data

such as serial number, lot number, optional equipment, etc. o Manufactured in an autoclave production process which is unique in the world

• Your safety in case of an accident:

o High torsional and flexional stiffness as well as superior crash protection due to use of carbon fiber materials in monocoque construction

o Optimal trade-off between strength and weight of all load carrying cell components thanks to Finite-Element-Modeling (FEM, Finite-Elemente-Method), calculated for 600 kg maximum take-off mass

o Outboard fuel tanks located in the winglets avoid the dangers of fuel stowage inside the passenger compartment

o Interlocked components offer superb mechanical strength due to bonding process. o Differential breaking of main wheels by toe-tip brakes results in easy maneauvering on the

ground o Large track width and low center of gravity make the Arrow-Copter almost impervious to tilt

over o Single wheel suspension of main and nose gear yield smooth taxiing. Additionally, 20 cm

travel in main wheel shock absorbers minimize damage from crash landings o Dragged nose gear leads to streight tracking and increased safety at landings

• Comfort:

o Noticeably lower noise level due to a closed canopy as well as an enclosed engine and exhaust system

o An open canopy, which is hinged on one side and opens sideways is available as an option. It ensures that the pilot is not exposed to direct wind while still enjoying an open cockpit feeling

o Closed cabin and cabin heating afford comfortable cold weather capability even in cold climates

o A carfully designed, integrated air circulation system inside the cabin maintains a comfortable cabin climate

o Large and roomy cabin with ergonomically formed seats o Sufficient stowing room for luggage and equipment o Toe-tip breaks ease handling on the ground and remove dreaded "control lever congestion" o Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS) reduces panel clutter and pilot workload. A

complete set of engine data, flight data and moving map GPS system (with 3D terrain data) is available as part of the standard equipment

o Two full seats (i.e., feet of passenger are behind the pilot) for pilot and passenger

Page 3: Details Arrow-Copter GB

o Pilot seat is adjustable in vertical and longitudinal position

• Performance

o Besides doubling as an ourboard fuel tank, the main gear also functions as winglets, providing additional lift at cruising speeds (the lift provided is roughly equal to the weight of a full load of fuel)

o The additional lift provided by the main gear winglets paired with the aerodynamically optimized overall shape result in unsurpassed performance

o Easier flair and softer, safer landings thanks to enhanced ground effect of main gear winglets

o Higher speeds due to tandem seating arrangement o Track width of 245 cm (96 in.) still permits trailering of the Arrow-Copter o Toe-tip breaks allow minimal turning radius on the ground o All relevant parts are fully enclosed o Low empty weight and high strength allow for maximum useful load capability

• Cockpit und Instruments: o Electronically Flight Information System (EFIS) graphical visualization:(EGT, 4channel

control, CHT 2channel control, Oil temperature, Oil pressure, RPM Rotor, RPM Engine, Speed indicator, Altimeter, Vario, simulated Horizon, etc. 9 pages available on flight

o GPS with integrated Terrain Data o Integrated Radio system (optional) inkludes Fox control o Analog Redundant Systems (Speed indicator, Compass, Altimeter, Rotor RPM, etc.)

• Engines: o Rotax 912S, 100 PS o Rotax 914, 120 PS (optional) o In future perhaps BMW R 1.2, 115-135 PS

• Technical Facts (partial approximate values): o Empty weight: 261 kg ( 575 lbs ) with Enclosed Cockpit o Fuel capacity: 70 liters ( 18.49 US gallons ) optional auxiliary fuel-

tanks are available) o Body-length: 5573mm ( 219” or 18.28 feet ) o Overall width: 2455 mm ( 96.6” or 8.1 feet ) o Height: 2891 mm ( 113.8” or 9.5 feet ) o Rotor Diameter: 8400mm ( 330.7” or 27.56 feet ) o Construction / design: Lightweight carbon-fibre Monocoque design o Max. Weight (MTOW ): 450 kg ( 990 lbs ), 560 kg ( 1232 lbs) and 600 kg

(1320 lbs ) (depending on individual country MTOW flight-rules)

o V/max 200 km/h ( 124.3 mph or 108 knots ) o V/cruise 165 km/h ( 102.4 mph or 89.1 knots ) o V/min 30 km/h (18.6 mph or 16.2 knots
