There Are Three Main Components

DT - 13 Amp rating• 6 cavity options (2/3/4/8/12) note: Cavity = number of wires• Thermoplastic housing, ideal for highly corrosive applications

DTM - 7.5 Amp rating (smaller version of DT series)• 6 cavity options (2/3/4/8/12)• Thermoplastic housing, ideal for highly corrosive applications

HDP20/HD30• Variable amperage-based on connector profile (number and size of cavities)• Profiles can accommodate between 8-47 connections• HDP20 has thermoplastic housing, ideal for highly corrosive applications• HD30 has aluminum housing, ideal for extreme weather and temperature fluctuation

• Pins and Sockets are crimped onto stripped wire and are available in nickel and gold plating. Nickel is appropriate for most electrical connections, while gold plating is recommend for low voltage applications (less than 5 volts) as it provides improved conductivity and protection from oxidation

• Housings protect mated pins and sockets-receptacles house pins; plugs house sockets. Receptacles and plugs have attached rubber grommets to seal connections

• Wedgelocks are inserted into housings to lock pins and sockets in place (DT and DTM series only)

Each Deutsch series has a specified contact size. Each contact size has a specified wire gauge.

1. Strip wire and insert into pin/socket. Check sight hole and crimp with proper tooling (see diagram)

2. Insert pin into receptacle housing until seated3. Insert socket into plug housing until seated 4. Insert wedgelocks into housings

(DT and DTM series only)5. Mate housings

To complement the current offering of Deutsch install and removal tools, new metal removal tools for the HD series and individual contact-size crimpers are now available.•Deutsch crimpers apply a 4-way indent crimp• Proper tools must be used to ensure

a good electrical connection

New assortments for the DT and DTM series are available.• Each series has a master kit which includes each cavity option• Sub-kits options with S-Drawers (in 2/3/4 and 6/8/12 cavity drawers) for mobile repair• All kits come with matched pins, sockets and cavity plugs

Kits And Assortments

1. Slide cable seal on wire2. Strip wire, insert into terminal and crimp with proper tooling. Two crimps are

necessary; one on the stripped wire and one on the cable seal (see diagram)3. Insert male terminal into housing until seated4. Insert female terminal into housing until seated 5. Mate housings and apply TPA

New crimping tools are available for each terminal type and size.•Tools can perform both the terminal crimp and cable seal crimp•Proper tools must be used to ensure

a good electrical connection

•Pre-packaged kits provide everything needed for an installation, including housings, terminals and cable seals and save time with matched and mated connectors
