Dialogue Project100 points
Mission
1. Choose a person that you would like to meet or a person that you admire. The person may be real or fictitious. Examples, Homer Simpson, A-Rod, Tiki Barber, Danika Patrick, Condoleeza Rice, George Bush, Kelly Clarkson etc.
2. Using the information that we have learned thus far, you will create/write a dialogue in Spanish between you and this person.
Rules
1. You MAY NOT use an online translator or any online sources. Also, you may not consult native or heritage speakers. This will be considered cheating and you will receive a zero if you choose to ignore my directions.
You can consult a text book, your notes/packets, and any of the Spanish teachers at GMS/GHS. A Spanish dictionary (non-electronic) may be used as well.
* Try to stick to things/words you know. In other words, try to avoid excessive use of the dictionary.
Rules
2. Your dialogue must be at least 100 words in length. Try to use verbs and vocabulary you have acquired throughout Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
3. You must include the following items in your dialogue:
3 O UE verbs (repeats do not count)3 E IE verbs (repeats do not count)2 E I verbs (repeats do not count)
*** Please underline these words in your final copy.
Helpful Hints
Remember, you only know the present tense. Avoid words that end in “-ed” or questions that start with “did.”
You cannot ask: How long have you played baseball?
You can ask: Do you play in every game? How often do you play baseball? Etc.
Helpful Hints
When writing a question in Spanish avoid translating the word “DO.”
Example: Do you have brothers and sisters?
Incorrect: ¿Haces tienes hermanos?Correct: ¿Tienes hermanos?
In Spanish, “do” is already understood and does not need to be included as it does in English.
Helpful Hints
Consult question chart in your notes.
For example:¿Tiene Ud. hermanos?
The question uses the Ud. form; therefore, the response must be in the Yo form.
Sí, yo tengo tres hermanos. 17
