Rules

1. You MAY NOT use an online translator or any online sources. Also, you may not consult native or heritage speakers. This will be considered cheating and you will receive a zero if you choose to ignore my directions.

You can consult a text book, your notes/packets, and any of the Spanish teachers at GMS/GHS. A Spanish dictionary (non-electronic) may be used as well.

* Try to stick to things/words you know. In other words, try to avoid excessive use of the dictionary.

Helpful Hints

Remember, you only know the present tense. Avoid words that end in “-ed” or questions that start with “did.”

You cannot ask: How long have you played baseball?

You can ask: Do you play in every game? How often do you play baseball? Etc.

Helpful Hints

When writing a question in Spanish avoid translating the word “DO.”

Example: Do you have brothers and sisters?

Incorrect: ¿Haces tienes hermanos?Correct: ¿Tienes hermanos?

In Spanish, “do” is already understood and does not need to be included as it does in English.
