UNECE support to Greece TF Reform

• Assist the Greek Government and European Commission TFGR in

implementing a holistic national trade facilitation reform

• Some of the project results are:

– Customs reform and computerized system

– Legal reform

– Application of EU best practice

– Stakeholder consultation

– Agriculture trade facilitation reform

• Since 2012, Greece has improved its ranking in the World Bank Doing

Business study by 28 positions from position 100 to 72.

• The competitive position of Greece in the WB Customs related Logistic

Performance Index show substantive improvement by 52 positions, from

94 to 42.
