Discrepancies: Is there any misleading information or possible false

advertisement? (Please be very detailed in your response.)

NOW READ WHAT DIGIORNO HAS TO SAY…

“Some folks have asked, why the “>” symbol in our Pizzaplicity equation? First of all, it’s great

to see your interest in our new “Pizzaplicity” equation. We’re pretty excited about the new law!

Here’s some additional explanation:

The “Law of Pizzaplicity” states that “You can get two DiGiorno pizzas for the price of one

Delivery pizza.” This comparison is based on the weighted average non-promoted price and

delivery charge of the three leading national delivery pizzas in ten leading markets (specifically

in this case, we compared our 12” Rising Crust Supreme to the comparable size and variety at

the three leading national delivery chains plus delivery charge – all on a non-promoted basis).

The DiGiorno “Pizzaplicity” mathematic equation uses a “>” sign because it demonstrates that,

for the same amount of money, you can get more pizza if you buy DiGiorno instead of

purchasing a delivery pizza. Two DiGiorno pizzas is more pizza or “>” than one Delivery

pizza.”

DO YOU STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY? (If your opinion has changed, tell me why.)

WRITING ASSIGNMENT: Write a letter to DiGiorno about your opinions/concerns about their advertisement campaign and summarize your findings about your verification of their research. Your letter needs to be at least one typed page (12 point font, double spaced). After you have written your letter to submit for a grade, feel free to actually send your letter to DiGiorno (electronic submission through company website).
