Network Health Monitoring

Network health monitoring enables the use of simple network management protocol (SNMP)

to monitor any Digital Sentry system alongside other networked devices. This integration

provides early warning signs of network or hardware failure resulting in faster response,

greater system uptime and improved resiliency. By combining the Digita l Sentry SNM P

software and the industry-standard Windows SNMP service, Digital Sentr y empowers

professionals to monitor their s ystem at the IT-level, using IntraVUE™ or any third-party

SNMP monitoring application. (IntraVUE is available through Pelco.)

Video Analytics

Analytics provided through Active A lert™ automates the video security process, resulting

in cost efficiencies and enhanced system effectiveness. Traditional video security requires

human monitoring of significant amounts of video, which often results in fatigue, attention

gaps, and ultimately, errors. Adding video analytics to t he rich Digital Sentry feature set

requires minimal setup and reduces the overall cost of operating the system. Active Alert is

highly effective in both manned and unmanned instal lations, offering powerful real-time

and historical viewing and search capabilities.

Archive Utility

The Archive Utility is a flexible application that enables end-users to transfer video and audio

data from any Digital Sentry recorder to another server on their network for storage. The

utility extends hard drive capacity, allowing data to be archived for periods greater than one

year, while also mini mizing search and retrieval time. The A rchive Utility robust feature set

includes event archiving, flexible scheduling, auto archive and off-site disaster recovery.

DS ControlPoint’s open architecture platform expands the capabilities of

legacy devices and maximizes investments in current and future security

technology. This easy-to-use application offers quick search of recorded audio

and video, while the export wizard provides easy access to video evidence.

Power supplies and hard drives are hot-

swappable, so that the operating system

data and recorded data remain safe andintact while the system continues to

record. The internal RAID 10 or RAID

5 hard drives provide full redundancy

of the operating system, video, and

audio data. DS RealVue RAID reduces

overall equipment space requirements

by supporting up to 48 total cameras (32

analog and 16 IP) and up to 32 channels

of audio in one recorder. The smaller

file size increases the number of days

of video that can be stored locally ona single system, lowering the overall

DS Admin significantly optimizes performance through an intuitive and straightforward

architecture supporting an unlimited number of systems and cameras no matter where they

Software Development Kit

DS ConneX has revolutionized the integration of third-party hardware a nd software

applications into complex security systems. Th is robust soft ware development kit (SDK)

allows developers to seamlessly integrate the entire line of Digital Sentry systems with any

third-party application. The SDK uti lizes the latest Microsoft.NET, Windows Communication

Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) technologies and is

compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and newer operating systems. W hen a customized
