Rene Roubicek is a renowned Czech artist and is considered as one of the most influential Czech sculptures of glass and metals in the 20th century. His sculptures were first exhibited in the World Fair Expo in Brussels in 1958 and caught the attention of both industry experts and the general public. His work from glass and metals has been exhibited at many important exhibitions over the years and have been important in representing Czech glass art. Now Rene Roubicek's sculptures are exhibited in museums around the world. 2007 marks the celebration of his 85th birthday.
