Pipes drivers installationMost of the aspiration efficiency and noise reduction depends on the route and length of the air outlet to the outside, therefore we indicate a series of recommendations in order to provide you with the best service and maximise your satisfaction.

• Avoid any tube diameter reduction. Just in case please check as follows.

• Air outlet must be as direct as possible, avoiding curves and reaching shortest longitude.

Suggestions for a perfect installation

Ventilation

It is a basic requirement that the kitchen is fitted with an air inlet to ensure good air circulation and therefore the proper functioning of the hood. Without an air inlet and with the kitchen shut, a depression that reduces the effectiveness of hood is created.

Air inlet for gas plant is suitable, otherwise an air inlet should be created.

Avoid making any dia-meter reduction at the air outlet installation

Always minimize the number of elbow connectors.

Air outlet should be as direct and straight as possible in order to avoid an incorrect airflow.

In event of an elbow connector to be neces-sary, ensure thet these have the least degrees possible

Avoid making sudden diameter reductions

Avoid making diameter reductions near elbow connector. In event of a diameter reduction to be necessary always make it in the straight area of the pipe and as much away from the hood as possible.

Perimeter Aspiration:For those who really believe that design is not incompatible with efficiency

Balanced Aspiration B.A. SystemHigh efficiency and easy cleaning

Such aspiration, a FRECAN exclusive patent, provides higher

aspiration power at the end of the hood, thanks to its micro-

perforated inner plate made of stainless steel a regular ab-

sorption across the surface of the filters is achieved.

This kind of aspiration is highly effective for 120cm sized and

Islands hoods.

An alternative to traditional aspiration effect based on Venturi effect

The system consists on compressing and to speed the air by creating a

depression in the slot perimeter of the aspiration surface of the hood,

this effect facilitates the capture and filtering of gases generated by

cooking.

With the perimeter aspiration a further noise reduction is achieved as

the hood is internally lined with sound absorbing material.

The main advantages of the perimeter aspiration are; aesthetic, easy

cleaning and low noise level.

This system applied to our product range with the indicative

B.A.System, provides easy cleanup because the plate affixed

to the filters subsequently form an impenetrable barrier to the

grease allowing the inside of the hood to remain clean.

In addition, the system is designed to preclude access to the

mechanical and electrical parts of the hood ensuring user safety

when the cleanup is done.

Arguments

Charcoal FiltersThe system recycles the air through charcoal filters. The hood collects the smoke, which is filtered by metal filters (the first filter

system), then the smoke is filtered through charcoal filters (second filter system) which purifies the air and returns it to the

kitchen as clean air.

This system is only recommended when the outside expulsion of the gases produced by cooking is not possible. Has to be said

that this system tends to reduce the aspiration efficiency of the hood.

We advise to always keep filters clean; this will ensure smooth operation of the recirculation system. Charcoal filters have to be

changed at least once a year, depending on how intensive the hood utilization is.

Electronic Controls: Most of our hoods are equipped with electronic controls

that provide us with a perfect control and maximum engine

efficiency. Providing several hoods with features such us

thermometer, timer, indicators, etc. ..

Delayed Switch-Off (Last Time):Once you’ve finished cooking, by connecting the last time

function the hood will keep on running for 10 minutes and will

automatically disconnect after recycling the air in your kitchen.

Filter saturation alarm:Flashing light that indicates when filters need cleaning in case

suction hoods, and the replacement of charcoal filters in case

of recirculation hood.

Led LighteningIt differs from other lamps that convert energy into heat; LED technology (Light Emitting Diodes) trans-

forms the light energy directly into the following benefits:

- Energy savings up to 80%

- Increased safety (no heat generated)

- Colder light, more neutral in colour creating a more pleasant environment.

LED lamps are very resistant and with a very long-lasting life (up 50 times more than a standard lamp). Due to the small size of LEDs a

more modern design of the lamps is created.

Stainless Steel FiltersMost of our hoods are equipped with stainless steel filters. This

feature not only enhances the beauty of the hood but ensures

the durability of the filters over time.

It is important to keep them clean and free of grease. Doing so

assures, among other things, its effectiveness and its function

flame protection in event of sporadic inflammation.

Stainless steel filters can be cleaned directly in the dishwasher,

as the aluminium filters regards, Frecan recommends avoiding

the dishwasher.

Silence Comfort System (SCS)

Silent Kit “S”Is an optional accessory available for our entire range of hoods

with a minimum motor output of 120 and 150mm. It consists of a

super flexible tube built on a steel spiral made of an aluminium

microdrills complex, coated outside with 25mm wool fiberglass

(density 16kg/m3) and a complex inwardly reinforced Aluminium

steam barrier.

Frecan expands its Silence Comfort System® motor range. New motors provided with self-

lubricating bronze bearings that make of the motors the most of its powerfulness and quietness.

Frecan with this new and enhanced S.C.S motor range extends the implementation of S.C.S

motors to a large number of its hoods, providing energy saving and an efficient power-

quietness relationship.

Silence comfort system® motors and Silence Comfort System plus® motors are equipped with

last generation turbines which are built with compensated silent-block anti-vibration double

blades, capable of combining pressure and speed to ensure optimal air flow.

Increased noise reduction

The ideal hood should suck the smell and the steam of the kitchen

with efficiency and minimum noise level.

For a high comfort in the kitchen, it is necessary that the air is

renewed between 10 and 12 times per hour and that the noise level

is not exceeding the level of 55dB(A).

With its smart electronic and a three-phase motor, the system

detects air friction and adapts the engine speeds providing an

optimal air flow and the consequent noise and energy saving.

WARNING: This motor generates a suction power of 1170m3/h on free air blow installations. Due to its self-regulating function if installed with a 150 mm. diameter air outlet a 3 meter long tube and a curve, the motor power suction is auto regulated and reaches a 900 m3 / h.
