The Building Maintenance Worker, as part of the highly collaborative and energetic facilities maintenance team, is a key member in protecting and maintaining the Library’s building assets. This position reports to building maintenance supervisors, takes direction from the building lead, and performs work in a variety of maintenance areas to ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation of The Seattle Public Library's buildings and facilities. This includes the downtown library, 26 branch libraries and various storage facilities. The downtown Central Library is a LEED-Certified Silver Building. This high rise building encompasses 365,000 square feet, 12 levels and includes sophisticated and state-of-the-art systems. The position works independently and as a team, and is responsible for maintenance and repair work related to multiple trade areas. This position will follow preventative maintenance procedures and schedules, and use a variety of tools and equipment to complete building maintenance work.

Duties require climbing and using ladders, bending, stretching, reaching and carrying or lifting items up to 50 pounds. This position also prepares reports, drives service vehicles, and transports equipment. Job Responsibilities:Seattle City Light’s Risk Oversight Division is responsible for management of risks related to the Utility’s wholesale trading activities and this involves risk analytics, reporting, control, confirmations, counterparty credit risk and settlements. The Division is also responsible for Enterprise-wide Risk Management for the Utility.

Primary responsibility for this position is implementation of a robust deal review process including developing and maintaining models that guide the utility’s forward trading and pricing strategies. This includes:

Identifying and implementing analytical tools including hedging strategies evaluation, valuation of standard and non-standard products relating to energy, transmission capacity and related ancillaries.

Develop a thorough and robust deal review process that takes a risk based approach to pricing/valuation of contract. Additionally, a process that incorporates engagement of other areas of the utility including legal, accounting, real-time desk, risk systems analyst, settlements etc. to ensure manageability of the contract.

Ensuring accuracy of inputs, verifying model outputs, modeling new deals, updating of models and methods, documenting and maintaining inventory of models.

Working closely with front office to assist in the analysis and development of trading strategies and providing explanations of the model and its results to marketers, financial & forecasting teams, Risk Oversight Council and in other meetings when required. Serving as quantitative expert, internal consultant, and resource for other groups.
