Istrongly disagree with your proposal to accept money from KGHM to conduct a review of its application to theEAO for the Ajax mine. Even though the offer supposedly has "no strings attached," It is a conflict of interest, toaccept money from the proponent whose business is at stake. A review by the City must be at arm's length fromthe proponent. I'm okay with spending my tax dollars on the endeavour, but question the selection of SLCConsulting.

It as another conflict of interest. SLC earns its income as a consultant to various industries, including mining,advising them on exploration, planning and permitting, construction, operation, and decommissioning,closure and aftercare fwww.slcconsultina.com. accessed 28 August 2015). Would SLC, therefore,jeopardize its consulting reputation by giving KGHM's application a negative review if it was called for?

Ifthe City does not trust the BC Environmental Assessment Office to adequately review the KGHMapplication (I agree with you on that) and must hire consultants to conduct a review, the consultants shouldbe independent scientists and experts.

The community coalition of Concerned Citizens of Kamloops, Kamloops Area Preservation Association, KamloopsMoms for Clean Air, Kamloops Physicians for a Healthy Environment Society, and TRU Faculty AssociationHuman Rights Committee will be hiring independent experts to review the application. The coalition sates; "Itis our intention to coordinate our efforts with those of the City and First Nations groups wherepossible" (www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-stop-the-alax-mine. accessed 28 August 2015) which, I assume, isto avoid duplication of areas to be studied.

In short, do not accept money from KGHM, spend tax dollars on the review, hire independent experts andwork with the community coalition. There will be no conflicts of interest and the review will be a truecommunity effort.

I'm nearly certain that your professionalism totally supercedes personal biases but it makes me wonder [[long into the wee hours occasionally]] because you, as CAO, and your directors, and their managers, have a lot of sway every day of the week (some Tuesdays inclusive). Having said that I think you're doing a phenomenal job also. Just nix the "extractive resource stocks" for f*ck sakes!!!! #climatechange

...At least live up in Aberdeen near the mine site so that probably balances off your investment choices to some degree when it comes to the open pit mine "proplorsell".

What did bother me was what I took as a personal attack on my professionalism due to the portfolio. I can assure you that I do what council as a whole asks me to do and keep my personal opinions out of it when giving you recommendations.

I have a question for you if you can help it would be appreciated. I live on

and across my very peaceful back yard facing Peterson creek is this new development you see in the picture between the two trees. It is being built on an old unused gravel pit. There has been reclamation done as you can see but here is my worry. The reclamation started last year and at the same time a very slow construction period which this year has been at basically a standstill. I don't know what will be built and how quiet this operation will be but I am starting to think that the pause is connected to the mine which is not far from this place. Is this operation connected to the proposed mine? If yes it could imply that this beautiful area might be destroyed and converted to industrial usage...I hope I am wrong but all this recent inactivity seems a little strange. if the project gets the green light will this operate to serve the mine ? Right in the heart of a beautiful residential area? And if this goes ahead who is to stop
