Double Page Spread

Page 2: Double page spread stages powerpoint

I placed text here introducing the interview in white, using the text tool, as it stands out on top of the teal background.

Here I placed a paraphrased pull quote from the interview using the shape rectangle tool to place the text on top of. I then placed this on top of the main image.

I used the rectangle tool to create a long rectangle to place the page number on and I reduced the opacity so that it wasn’t a harsh white.

I used the rectangle tool to add a rectangle in white and I used additional images and placed them on top.

I used the rectangle tool and reduced the opacity and added white text on top.

Here I used the rectangle tool in turquoise and decreased the opacity for the page number to go here. I then used the text tool to write the page number in white.

I used guidelines while I was making the double page spread so the image wouldn’t be lost in the centrefold, and so that the text was in two neat columns.

I added more images of the main artist to this section in black and white on top of the white rectangle.

I used the text tool to write the questions and answers in my interview. I used white for the questions and black for the answers so it is easy for the reader to distinguish between the two.

I used the shape tool to add a rectangle with decreased opacity here.

I enlarged the opaque square to prepare to move a photo on top of it.

I used the rectangle tool to

add two grey thing rectangles

to the top and bottom of the

white rectangle above and below the additional

images.

I opened a new project on Photoshop and made the background purple I then used the text tool to write ‘Yasmin Martin’ and the name of an album on this. I then copied this layer and then pasted it onto this project as an album cover.
