Dear Collegue,
it’s my great pleasure to invite you to partecipate in theproceedings of 6th
Italian Conference on Thoracic
Oncology (CIOT) that, in its annual recurrence, will takeplace in Milan from June 21st to June 23rd 2018organized by AIOT (Italian Association of ThoracicOncology) and that I’ve the responsibility to chair.
I would like to call your attention to at least threeinteresting aspects of Milan’s Conference that make theappointment very peculiar and that I identify in itsInternational form, in the location and in its goals.
International form
The 70% of Faculty is composed of foreignspeakers, everybody playing an active part in clinicalresearch in Thoracic Oncology and KOL in theirrespective countries. We expect a significant foreigndelegation. The official language of the Conference willbe English.
Location
Located in a wonderful position, in the heart ofMilan, the conference venue offers to the city a meetingpoint of extraordinary importance. Its natural eleganceand flexibility make it the ideal location for congresses,meetings and events of any kind.The location is in the heart of history and Milan fashiondistrict.
Goals
Setted immediately after ASCO, the Conferencewill give an update on the data coming from ClinicalResearch in Thoracic Oncology directly from the voiceof its Authors more representative in an appointmentthat we would like to be lasting inside of the internationalcongressional track.
For these reasons I’m trusting that you shouldappreciate the effort of the organizing secretariat torealize this scientific meeting doing credit to us withyour attendance in Milan.

The STARHOTELS ROSA GRAND is located in thecenter of the main cultural area of the city and about500 metres from the famous shopping area.The meeting takes place in the Auditorium located atthe ground floor of the Hotel.

INSURANCEConference organizers cannot accept liability forpersonal injuries or for loss of or damage to propertybelonging to congress participants, either during or asa result of the Conference.
CLIMATEJune weather in Milan is generally sunny and warm.The temperature often rises during the day at anaverage of 25°. Light summer clothing is mostsuitable. Rain is also possible; light raincoat andsomething warm for the evening are advisable
CURRENCYThe official currency in Italy is the Euro (€).
TIPPINGService is usually included in the bill in bars andrestaurants but tips are welcome.
BANKBanks are open from Monday to Friday from 08.30 to13.30 hrs and from 15.00 to 16.00 hrs. Banks areclosed on Saturday and Sunday. Many banks haveautomatic currency exchange machines that also takecredit cards.Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept foreigncurrency and major credit cards.
ELECTRICITYVoltage is 220V AC, 50Hz. Plugs have two or threeround pins. Foreign voltage could require and adapter.

WHAT IS COVERED BY THE FEE?The registration fee includes an unlimited access to allscientific sessions, a full set of congress material andlunch on Friday June 22.
ADMISSIONName badges will be used as passes. All participantsand official guests are kindly requested to wear theirname badge during the Meeting activities and socialevents. The badge will allow the entrance to thescientific sessions and lunch.

SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION
MAIN SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME OUTLINEThe scientific programme covers three days (ThursdayJune 21, Friday June 22 and Saturday June 23, 2018)and consists of State-of-the-Art Lectures, MainLectures, Debates and Face to Face sessions.
The “Debates” sessions will be about controversialtopics in thoracic oncology; the “Face to Face”sessions instead will go on vexed questions and theywill deal with two speakers and to add requests fromsome “shooters” put in charge in order to stimulatethe audience for a lively discussion.
WEBSITEVirtual Meeting of the Conference will be availableafter the end of the Meeting on AIOT official websitewww.oncologiatoracica.it.
ITALIAN MINISTRY OF HEALTH - CME CREDITS The accreditation has been asked for entirely meeting.To obtain Italian credits the delegates must attend inthe 100% percentage of the time sessions. Anelectronic device will be arrange.
At the moment of registration each participant will receivethe evaluation forms and learning questionnaire of thescientific sessions. These forms and questionnairemust be filled in and return to the “CME credits” desk. Electronic tags will be used to record the CME credits.
The electronic readers will be placed just outside the“Auditorium”. It will be sufficient to pass through theelectronic device to have the credits recorded.
To obtain credits, Italian participants must be:
• record both the entrance and the exit of eachMeeting day
• return the electronic tag to the Organizing Secretariatat the end of the Conference
• return the evaluation forms and questionnaire dulyfilled into the “CME credits” desk. The anagraphicaldata must compulsorily be indicated since requiredby the Italian Ministry of Health
Please note that should you loose or fail the tag,you will be charged € 10,00 by the OrganizingSecretariat.

AUDIOVISUAL INSTRUCTIONSA multimedial projection centre will be at the disposalof the Speakers at the ground floor of the StarhotelsRosa Grand aside the Auditorium.
ONLY PC DATA PROJECTION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE CONFERENCE
The “Auditorium” will be provided with the laptop.Use of one’s laptop is not allowed.
Should Speakers have their personal laptop, a CDRom or a USB key, they are kindly requested to go tothe multimedial projection centre to have theirpresentation copied. The presentation will be thenforwarded through a LAN network from multimedialprojection centre directly to the computer in thepresentation room.
We recommend to contact the multimedial projectioncentre the day before your presentation. At any rate,presentation material must be available:
• 45 minutes before for Power Point presentation onCD Rom or USB key
• 1 hour before for presentation on Personal Computer
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCEAttendance certificates will be issued on request to allregularly registered participants at the SecretariatDesk at the end of the meeting.
