Congratulations to the following students who had their pieces of writing selected to be included in the
Bendigo Writers Festival’s student anthology of writing. The topic was gold and our students approached
the topic in a number of creative ways. Well done to Alyssa Boyd, Lucy Malone, Ella Maxted, Richard
Field, Tayla Gooding and Amelie Shelley on their inclusion in this prestigious publication. (A copy is
available in the Library for borrowing.)
NCD Athletics Carnival
It was bitterly cold in Charlton on Wednesday and our students had to compete on a sluggish slow track and
swirling winds in the throwing event, but to their credit, we had many successes on the day.
Congratulations to all competitors who represented the school. Overall, our students were very competitive
and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and determination to do their best. It was great to see everyone
supporting and cheering loudly for our Boort competitors.
There were many students gaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd ribbons on the day for their efforts. Those students who
won their events will now compete at the Loddon Mallee Region in Bendigo on Thursday 10th October
(Week 1, Term 4).
Well done to Zac Mayberry and Annie
Perryman who won the 14 years Age
Group Champions, and Ella Bedford who
won 16 years female Age Group
Champion.
