Dear Worldwideans,
Season’s Greetings!
We have been doing brisk business with various US destinations, for TCP, AEO, Gerber, etc.
There has been a marked increase in the tonnage during last couple of months.
Also, we managed to get better airfreight rates with few airlines for the next couple of
months (EK, QR, LH & Aeroflot) for Delhi, Chennai and Cochin. Lot of cargo is moving from
Tirupur/Cochin thru Bengaluru, so BLR station is becoming an important zone. BLR has to
now take the lead to move forward and get good pricing from the airlines. Similarly,
Mumbai should work closely with Delhi to get the best rates.
The competition has been cut throat and the shippers like Kitex & JJ Mills were aggressive to
renegotiate the freight rates. With lot of hardwork, we managed to hold the customers with
us.
WWL’s latest brainchild, Worldwide Transport Solutions has started its operations from
Bengaluru. I congratulate Mr Rajamani and his team and wish them the very best in
capturing this new market. May it spread wings all through India, like its parent, and bring
prosperity to all of us.
Several cities in India, especially Chennai, have been reeling under severe water shortage due
to dry monsoon and due to other man-made reasons. This has been getting attention
globally. Let us pray for the current monsoon season to bring the much awaited relief to all.
I congratulate all those who got their increments and promotion this year and wish them all
to work smart and be proactive.
Best wishes,
Bala

Lufthansa Cargo is now offering its customers wide-ranging, digital cargo acceptance and
delivery services as part of its eFreight initiative. Valuable time can be saved through the use of
self-service terminals and related apps for mobile devices as well as the digital transfer of
shipment data and status updates between the airline and customers. Before delivery, the
PreCheck service verifies the completeness and consistency of the data transferred. This further
boosts data quality, significantly reduces laborious and time-consuming corrections during cargo
