1 General description
Note:All screen views in this document are typical examples. Real values and displayedsoftkeys can vary according to the operating mode and the type of plant.
1.1 Introduction
The equipment is operated by touching the operating unit display panel. Most of theequipment parameters and equipment status indications can be displayed andchanged in this way. The basic display panel layout is as follows:
Measured values and utilization bar diagrams can also be displayed.Failures affecting the flow of energy are shown in red.

2.2 Log IN / OUT
Access to the controller for operating, configuring and servicing purposes is restrictedby password. The 3-stage password system (User/Configurator/Service) ensures thatonly authorized access to the control facilities is possible. Configuration menus andsoftkeys to which access has not been authorized are not displayed at all.

After "password change" has been selected, first the old password must be enteredand then the new password twice. A delay can be set for an automatic forced log outafter the last entry (0 = no automatic log out).
The default passwords are:
User level: EGBConfigurator level: EGB
The operator-level password can be reset to EGB at the configuration level.
The service log-on is reserved for the staff.
2.3 Operator assistant
When the operator assistant is called up on the softkey with the question mark, theoperator will receive concrete instructions for a start-up or shut-down. The interactiveguide recommends the next useful action and monitors its execution. The execution ofthe switching actions, however, always remains in the hands and responsibility of theoperator.
2.4 Messages / Clearing the event store
The event store can hold 512 event messages in a ring store. The latest event mes-sage then overwrites the oldest event message.
The events are classified in the following stages of urgency:
User: Operator triggers an event.
Hint: A condition has changed.
Warning: Abnormal condition not adversely affecting the loads.
Alarm: Critical fault.
The event messages are registered with a time resolution of 4 ms.A sequential event number, the time of the event, the type of event and the event text
are stored for every event message.
The configurator is authorized to clear and configure the event message display. Inthis view individual event categories can be suppressed.

2.5.2 Date / Time
This softkey enables the system clock to be set.
Select year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds, then enter a new value on the key-pad and press Enter. The values are written permanently into the real time clock bypressing the softkey Set.
When Summertime automatic is activated, the time is changed automatically (lastSunday in March and October), a manual change is another alternative. When summertime is activated, the time appears on the main screen with a leadingS.
2.5.3 Remote contacts
The remote alarms and internal alarms and indications can be checked on this screen.A config., resp. service log-in is required to change the signals.
Apart from the remote signal relays, the logical operation for RECT fault, INV. faultand bypass fault can be changed.
Special signal 1 and special signal 2 are additional signals, whose text is freely pro-grammable. Their message texts will be automatically displayed on the main screen.
Special signals are additional freely programmable signals for the status and the eventstore (separately for REC, INV., Bypass)
