Islamic Azad University English Bulletin - No. 3 - 05 Dec 2015 The president of Islamic Azad University ,accompanied by the deputy of the Tehran Medical branch, and the head of the faculty, iniated a number of construcon projects in the IAU, Tehran Medical branch. According to Iran Students Correspondents Associaon (ISCA), Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh launched the renovaon of the anatomical science hall (anatomy, histology, and embryology), Moulage room, dining hall, and the student buffet. The clinic hall and its various secons such as the examinaon room, operang theater, the radiology, cardiology, and gynaecology wards, and recovery room were among projects which were opened by Dr. Mirzadeh as well. The president of IAU also visited the biology, histology, pathology, chemistry, biochemistry, and microphysiology laboratories and central library in the Tehran Medical branch. Dr. Mirzadeh launches Construction Projects in IAU, Tehran Medical Branch IAU to Launch Dentistry College in Uganda In the 139th meeng of IAUs board of directors, the president of Islamic Azad University has emphasized the importance of establishing courses on Persian Language and Literature, Iranian civilizaon, and Islamic-Iranian Art in IAUs internaonal branches. According to ISCA, Dr. Mirzadeh noted that most countries strive to develop their language by introducing it beyond their borders and that in order to allow for proliferaon of the Persian language, the cooperaon of IAUs Vice Presidency for Cultural and Student Affairs, Islamic Culture and Relaons Organizaon in Iranian schools, schools abroad which are run by Irans Ministry of Educaon, and Saadi Foundaon is necessary. Dr. Mirzadeh also placed specific emphasis on the importance of establishing courses such as Persian Language and Literature, Iranian civilizaon, and Islamic-Iranian Art in Oxford, Emirates, Beirut, and Moscow IAU branches and menoned that presenng lesson plans, student admission, and sending out educaonal staff must be done with the collaboraon of students and consideraon of educaonal, and cultural affairs. He finally added that IAU has a key role in developing and showing the richness of the Persian language to the world and acknowledged this issue as an essenal duty and obligaon. Dr. Mirzadeh: IAU Must Establish Persian Language Courses in International Branches Dr. Amin Reza Kamalian, the head of Islamic Azad University, Chabahar branch, has announced that all necessary infrastructures for internaonalizing the branch are in place and we are prepared to admit foreign students.According to Azad News Agency (ANA), during his meeng with the general director of IAUs internaonal affairs and the general director of alien affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Kamalian declared that With the facilies, equipment and other resources available to the province, and above all, the aenon and posive atude of Dr. Mirzadeh, the president of IAU, toward developing science, we announce our readiness to launch new majors that can be aracve to students from foreign countries.IAU is ready to provide the necessary plaorms, personnel and means to further improve the countrys academic standards," said Dr. Kamalian, as his final remark. Chabahar IAU to Soon Become International IAU Shines in FIRACup Open Competition 2015 Roboc teams of Kerman and Nourabad Mamasani branches of Islamic Azad University have excelled in the first Iranian FIRACup Open Compeon 2015, hosted by Amirkabir University of Technology. The Ace Extremeteam from Kerman IAU succeeded in winning first place by defeang all its opponents in the secon of manufacturing robots. Also, the robocs team from Nourabad Mamasani branch gained the third place in the category of mine-detecng robots. In the near future, it is ancipated that robots will take the place of human forces in manufacturing, logiscs, and working with small parts”, said a faculty member of Kerman IAU. IAU Karateka Bags Silver Medal in Japan Zabihollah Poursheib, member of IAU karate team and Iranian representave in the mens minus 84k kumite tournament, picked up a silver medal at the Karate1 Premier League in Japan. According to Iran Student Correspondents Associaon (ISCA), aſter defeang his New Zealand opponent one to nil in the final bout of the mens under-84-kilogram kumite at the Nippon Budokan arena in Okinawa, Japan, Poursheib succeeded in winning in his second round against Japanese competor, Koki Yamaguchi, with the same record. In his third compeon, he ed 0-0 against his Serbian rival and consequently progressed to the final round. In the final encounter of the mens minus 84- kilogram, Poursheib was defeated 1-6 by Ryutaro Araga, his Japanese rival, and seled for silver. The Karate1 Premier League opened in Okinawa, on November 28, and will conclude on November 29. The internaonal sporng event has reportedly aracted 207 karate fighters from 38 countries, including Azerbaijan, Taipei, Iran, Japan, New Zealand and Serbia. The president of Islamic Azad University has inaugurated a high-tech data center in IAU, Mashhad branch. According to Azad News Agency (ANA), this center, with over 550 square meter, is fully operaonal and includes server rooms, electrical rooms, switching, and security control. The Data center of the Mashhad Informaon, Communicaon, and Technology Organizaon has a capacity of 300 physical and 2000 virtual servers and was built based on the global standard, TIA-942, and is able to present various services to the users. In related IT news, Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh also unveiled a laptop called the KIA Green Systemmade by KIA, a knowledge based company. This device has all the capabilies expected of modern laptops, but will be marketed cheaper than other models and brands. Mashhad IAU Opens Data Center The general director of IAU internaonal affairs has announced that the university will be launching a denstry college in Uganda to provide educaonal facilies. According to ISNA, Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi stated that IAU aims to supply educaonal facilies for countries in need, such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon. Previously, in late August this year, Dr. Angaji, deputy of IAU internaonal affairs met with Ugandan ambassador to Iran, Mohammad Ahmad Kissule and discussed cooperaon opportunies for Uganda and IAU, parcularly in medical, veterinary, pharmaceucal and agricultural sciences. Dr. Ebrahimi also noted that in order to apply scienfic advances of other countries, arrangements are being made to establish joint offices in Europe, Italy, and Austria. Preliminary negoaons were done with Sapienza University of Rome and University of Ferrara. These two academic centers have been invited to establish offices in one of IAUs branches in Iran. North Tehran IAU Shines in Nuremberg iENA Intl Trade Fair Young researchers of Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch have won gold, silver, and bronze medals in Civil engineering in the iENA Internaonal Trade Fair held in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 29 to 31, 2015. According to Azad News Agency (ANA), Dr. Mohammad Javad Shakouri, head of North Tehran IAUs Young Researchers & Elite Club stated that the first iENA Internaonal Trade Fair was run in 1936 in Germany, and in it, the best ideas win awards from an internaonal jury of experts.

The president of Islamic Azad University ,accompanied by the deputy of the Tehran Medical branch, and the head of the faculty, initiated a number of construction projects in the IAU, Tehran Medical branch. According to Iran Students Correspondents Association (ISCA), Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh launched the renovation of the anatomical science hall (anatomy, histology, and embryology), Moulage room, dining hall, and the student buffet.

IAU to Launch Dentistry College in Uganda

In the 139th meeting of IAU’s board of directors, the president of Islamic Azad University has emphasized the importance of establishing courses on Persian Language and Literature, Iranian civilization, and Islamic-Iranian Art in IAU’s international branches. According to ISCA, Dr. Mirzadeh noted that most countries strive to develop their language by introducing it beyond their borders and that in order to allow for proliferation of the Persian language, the cooperation of IAU’s Vice Presidency for Cultural and Student Affairs, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in Iranian schools, schools abroad which are run by Iran’s Ministry of Education, and Saadi Foundation is necessary. Dr. Mirzadeh also placed specific emphasis on the importance of establishing courses such as Persian Language and Literature, Iranian civilization, and Islamic-Iranian Art in Oxford, Emirates, Beirut, and Moscow IAU branches and mentioned that presenting lesson plans, student admission, and sending out educational staff must be done with the collaboration of students and consideration of educational, and cultural affairs. He finally added that IAU has a key role in developing and showing the richness of the Pers ian language to the world and acknowledged this issue as an essential duty and obligation.

Competition 2015

Robotic teams of Kerman and Nourabad Mamasani branches of Islamic Azad University have excelled in the first Iranian FIRACup Open Competition 2015, hosted by Amirkabir University of Technology. The ‘Ace Extreme’ team from Kerman IAU succeeded in winning first place by defeating all its opponents in the section of manufacturing robots. Also, the robotics team from Nourabad Mamasani branch gained the third place in the category of mine-detecting robots. “In the near future, it is anticipated that robots will take the place of human forces in manufacturing, logistics, and working with small parts”, said a faculty member of Kerman IAU.

Zabihollah Poursheib, member of IAU karate team and Iranian representative in the men’s minus 84k kumite tournament, picked up a silver medal at the Karate1 Premier League in Japan. According to Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA), after defeating his New Zealand opponent one to nil in the final bout of the men’s under-84-kilogram kumite at the Nippon Budokan arena in Okinawa, Japan, Poursheib succeeded in winning in his second round against Japanese competitor, Koki Yamaguchi, with the same record. In his third competition, he tied 0-0 against his Serbian rival and consequently progressed to the final round. In the final encounter of the men’s minus 84-kilogram, Poursheib was defeated 1-6 by Ryutaro Araga, his Japanese rival, and settled for silver. The Karate1 Premier League opened in Okinawa, on November 28, and will conclude on November 29.
