Athletics Spotlight: This fall season has been a tremendous step forward for the Wolf Pack! First, the program was unanimously voted into the confluence league, which is a CHSAA sanctioned league. This is very exciting news since our teams will now be able to work to win league champi- onships, have set league schedules, and build positive rivalries to prepare us for competing in the state playoffs. The lady wolves volleyball team is currently 9-5 and has shown tremendous grit and determination with many come from behind wins. They are 5-1 against confluence teams. Boys soccer has more players playing than ever before with many underclassmen stepping up and filling starting roles on the varsity team. The future's looking bright for the Wolves men's soccer team! Cross country also has a record number of participants and are currently preparing to run in the state regionals for the first time ever.

Make sure to follow our teams on Maxpreps.com and check out the school's athletic website for upcoming games and events. Winter basketball tryouts will be starting on Nov 11th. The student body has received an email on how to register to get signed up for ei-ther boys basketball or girls basketball. All interested players must register online at http://www.familyid.com/dsst-college-view/high-school-2017-winter-athletics-registration Players must also have a current physical on file at the school before they are allowed to practice. GOOD LUCK to all our student athletes as they finish up the fall seasons over the next two weeks!!! GO WOLVES!!!

Construction Update: Construction on our new cafeteria will begin in late October or early November, according to DPS. We have been told the caf-eteria will be ready for the 2018-19 school year in August of 2018. The area down the hill on Dartmouth, which is called Lot H, will become a construction site. If you have gotten used to dropping off or picking up in that area, please take some time to find a new spot. During construction, there will be a small area where you can drop off or pick up, but it will not be as large as the area we currently have. We are very excited to have a new, closer cafeteria, so the trouble will be worth it!

Family Involvement: This year in Prep Academy we are notifying families when their student serves a Refocus (on Tuesday and Thursdays). If you receive this message, please talk to your student about why they earned the Refocus, and reach out to your student’s advisor with any questions you may have!

Please provide snacks for students during Final Exams! If you are able to contribute, please bring snacks for a class of students (25 students) by November 3. Thanks for keeping our Wolves fed during Finals so that they can do their best work!

http://www.familyid.com/dsst-college-view/high-school-2017-winter-athletics-registration
