GENERAL INFORMATION MEMBERSHIP FEES

Members are reminded that fees are payable in advance and are therefore due on or before 30 September each year.

ADDRESS OF MEMBERS Members shall notify the General Manager in writing immediately upon change of address, and telephone numbers. Members are requested to provide the Club with their email address if they have one.

COMPLAINTS

All complaints on any matter connected with the management or service of the Club or the conduct of any employee of the Club shall be made to the General Manager, who may, if necessary, insist that such complaint be made in writing. If the General Manager is unable to satisfy the complainant or complainants then he/she shall submit the matter to the President for the sub-committee concerned. Staff: Under no circumstances shall an employee of the Club be reprimanded or given any directions or instructions regarding the manner of work or terms of employment by a Member or Director.

VISITORS All classes of members may at any time (subject to restrictions as may be imposed by the Committee from time to time) introduce visitors to the Club on the condition that immediately upon arrival at the Clubhouse the visitors’ names and addresses

are entered in the Visitors’ Book by the introducing Member, and each entry must be attested by the signature of the introducing Member. Members are responsible for the dress and conduct of their guests and must remain with them whilst they are in the Club.

DRESS STANDARDS (Dubbo Golf Club By Laws Clause 3.1.8.10)

The Board expects all members and guests of the Club to be suitably attired in clean apparel and footwear both on the course and in the clubhouse.

Rubber thongs and singlet are not allowed. The Board reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone not conforming with the requirements as displayed at the entry to the Clubhouse

ETIQUETTE (Dubbo Golf Club By Laws Clause 3.1.7)

1 No player shall play until the players in front are out of range. 2 Any group failing to hold its place on the course and loses

more than one clear hole on the players in front shall allow the group following to pass.

3 When the play of a hole is completed, players shall move to the next tee before marking their cards. The player with the honour shall play before marking their card.

4 Players are responsible for repairing their own divot marks and bunker marks and are encouraged to repair others.

5 No one shall move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or hole when a player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.

6 The lowest handicapped player in each group is responsible for the observance of the rules of golf and etiquette. This does not however, relieve all players of their responsibilities under the rules of golf.

7 Slow play is contagious - help to eliminate it.

LOCAL RULES (Dubbo Golf Club By Laws Clause 3.1.8.9)

a) Out of Bounds Rule - 18.2 1. Beyond any wall, fence, garden edge or white stakes

with black tops defining the boundary of the course or

where otherwise specified.

2. All paved areas around the clubhouse, golf pro shop and

along the first tee.

3. Stroke and Distance – Under the new rules a local rule

may be adopted to remove the existing stroke and

penalty for a ball that is out of bounds. The club at this

time will not be adopting this local rule.

b) Abnormal Course Conditions including Immovable

Obstructions - Rule 16 i) Ground Under Repair

1. Those areas defined by white stakes, white lines or

marked as GUR

2. except in a penalty area, clearly defined wheel ruts

made by mowers, tractors or motor vehicles

3. all defined garden beds on the course.

4. trimmed areas surrounding sprinkler heads

5. all concrete or granite formed roads and cart paths

are to be treated as GUR. All other paths/tracks are

to be treated as an integral part of the course. (no

relief available)

6. all bare patches on closely mown fairway areas over

30cm in diameter.

7. Cart wheel ruts in the gully on the first fairway (1-9)

8. Bare patches on the greens that have been caused

by weed spray (lie of ball only) Lift and place to

nearest point no nearer the hole.

9. If a ball comes to rest in an aeration hole on the

putting green of the hole being played, the player

may lift, clean and place the ball at the nearest spot

not nearer the hole that avoids such situation.

10. Machinery sheds, Cart sheds and dirt mound on left

of 22nd fairway.

a. (areas marked by white star pickets)

11. Bare tree roots on fairway being played.

12. Abnormal conditions - Earth cracks due to dry

conditions

13. Any damage caused by an animal (kangaroos,

cockatoos etc)

ii) Immovable Obstructions

1. tree guards, hazard pegs, water taps, fixed irrigation

pipes, ball washers, stakes defining protected trees,

protective screens, all posts, chains, ropes, drainage

grates, pump shed, sand bins, sand bucket stands,

garbage bins and fairway watering control boxes.

2. fixed sprinkler head, on or within two (2) club lengths

of the putting surface intervenes with the line of play

and the ball is within two (2) club lengths of the

sprinkler head (and not in a penalty area) relief may

be taken.

c) Movable Obstructions – Rule 15.2 All white hoops, hoses, pipes, (NB: must be replaced) d) Distance Measuring Devices Rule 4.3 will allow players to use DMDs to measure

distance.

e) Drop Zone Penalty Areas Drop zones are located on the 15th, 21st and 26th fairways. If a ball enters the penalty area between the red stakes that

define the edge of the penalty area, the ball may be dropped in the nearest drop zone and must come to rest in the drop zone.

Information for Course Care f) Motorised Carts and Buggies

1. Players should consult clause 5 Golf Carts and Motorised Vehicles of these By Laws for the comprehensive rules for use of Golf Carts and Motorised Vehicles on the course.

2. Cart paths are to be used where available. 3. Stay on paths on par 3’s, 20m from greens and do not

drive on tees.

4. Carts to be driven on fairways during wet weather and kept out of the rough.

5. Carts to be driven in the rough when frost are on the fairways.

6. In an effort to reduce wear and tear on the course the Club recommends only 2 golf carts be used per playing group of 4.

7. Cart drivers must hold a minimum of a P plate drivers’ licence.

g) Player Information – Pins Yellow Front area of the green Red middle area of the green Blue Back area of the green

h) Distance Markers Markers with Taronga Western Plains Zoo logo on sides of

fairways are 150m to the centre of the green. Distances to the centre of the green are also indicated on fairway sprinkler heads. There are also 100m distance markers with Taronga Western Plains Zoo logos located on the on sides of fairways at the 10th, 14th, 21st and 27th holes.
