NEW CIRCULAR BURNER

Available in internal diameters of 100,150 and 200 mm, made of brass it ensu-res thorough preteatment of the circum-ference of cylindrical objects. It can be fit-ted onto the Type 450 replacing the stan-dard ring flamer double ring system.

The ring (100 or 150 mm) has severallittle burners and is mounted on awater cooled chute.Correct movement of the bottle on thechute is achieved by tilting the chute.While passing through the flame ofthe ring burner, the object is perfectly

treated and has the advantage ofremaining cool.

When printing on to materials such as polyethylene or polypropylene it is necessary to pretreat the surface to change the molecu-lar structure of the surface. Machines Dubuit offer a larde range of equipment to pretreat objects of every shape. The equipment

is fitted with adjustable gas burners, allowing quality treatment at low running costs.

By placing the object on the turntable, a switch locatedin the centre starts the machine. The turntable beingrotated, a burner is lit and applies its flame on the revol-ving surface of the object. By means of a timer, it is pos-sible to preset the rotation time depending on the natu-

re of the material, in order to obtain a perfect treatment

49* CRATE FLAME TREATER

Placing the crate on the machine will start thecycle. The burner is lit and moves towards thecrate and stops when the cam roller comes incontact with the base of the crate. When thetreatment is finished, the burner moves back-ward in order to allow the removal of thetreated crate and to replace it by another one.This device will enable the machine to treatcrates of various sizes without any tooling andthe roller is arranged in such a way that theburner is always perpendiculato the surfaceto be treated. If the corners of the crate arefragile, it is possible to turn off the flame of

the burner in front of each corner. This machi-ne should be placed near the injection machi-ne, so that the operator of the injectionmachine can also treat the crates.
